  1. Galvanized C-channel is a good choice. Thicker is generally better than thinner. Hot-rolled steel is cheaper than cold rolled, and it's likely all you can get anyway. Galvanized is better for most every application unless you want smooth, shiny painted finish. A lot of people love rectangular tubing, and it looks better, but it is more difficult to work with, more expensive and much more susceptible to rust. It is also generally not available in galvanized. , The corrosion issue with tubing is not water getting into the tubing, but water not draining. It's not easy to paint the inside of the tubing, and welding caps on the end of tubing can exasperate the problem if there are no drain holes. That's why they always rust out at the bottom.
  2. I said might cost more, but off the top of my head I'd say having multi-lingual staff, Immigration requirements, probably more air-conditioning, perhaps more damage, more complaints, the list is endless.
  3. I have never experienced it, but I understand why it might cost a bit more to accommodate foreigners. Maybe they don't want non-Thais.
  4. You understand that Hamas continues to attack Israel, and that they are still holding hostages, yes? What should Israel do to stop them? If Hamas surrendered, it would over today.
  5. Yeah, I condemn 10/7 BUT it did not happen in a vacuum and the greedy colonialist oppressors had it coming!
  6. She was only arrested in April after being shot by IDF soldiers that witnessing the attack shot her to save the victim. She was taken into custody in April and she has been released. More on our dear Fatima: Stabbing attack at Gush Etzion junction, attacker shot - The Jerusalem Post (jpost.com)
  7. The problem with managed funds, it that there are not enough great fund managers to go around. You look at a fund with great ten-year performance, and when you check, the manager has only been managing the fund for a year. I look at the people coming out with advanced degrees today and I do not see this improving. I've only bought three individual stocks and they all did well. I bought Boeing after watching a video of the development of the 777 during a plant tour. I bought Apple after buying an ipod and being so impressed at how perfectly well thought out everything was just opening the box. Never really even used the ipod but I loved it. I bought Brunswick after meeting one of their product managers on a fishing trip. We talked shop for a week and I was sold. I pick funds using Fidelity's sort function to look at performance. All but one have been good, and a couple have been great.
  8. They need the money, The taxpayers are all dying, and all the people they import are tax-recipients. But they are really great, hard-working people, wink-wink-nudge-nudge....
  9. Quit lying. She did not care that he was an Israeli, she only cared that he was a Jew. Had he been an Arab Israeli, she would have found another victim.
  10. So, they held her even after she told them she didn't do it? That has to be against international law as defined by Amnesty International. People (except Jews) that state they are innocent are to be assigned an attorney and released on their own recognizance (OR) until they are required to be in court. Had she been a Jew and a Palestinian shot her in the spine, they would have raped her at least until she bled out, and her family could have watched the video on youtube. Bethlehem? Sounds familiar. There has never been any Jews living there has there?
  11. The problem with government tax schemes, is that the people that actually earn enough to have to pay the taxes, are generally smarter than the people in the government that develop the schemes.
  12. Indeed Not until now
  13. It does look like a chick car, but I don't care about that, I like chicks.
  14. "Unbelievable"
  15. How tall are you? Don't like the look of the Seal, I do like the Haval and see a lot of them. There is also a dealer less than 500m from the house. I like the look of the GoodCat but to tough getting in and out.
  16. Ad indicated in my post, the guy driving that much can save some dough, particularly if they have a solar farm. I'm not overlooking it, I just do not have the relevant information to include it. The EV would likely be quieter and perform better but would probably not be more comfortable. I've also not mentioned anything about the additional inconvenience associated with each. The it was just a quick cost analysis; I made no claim about one being better than the other. Again, the best reason a new car is because you want a new car, and the best car to buy is one you like.
