  1. Hoping that all ambulances have a radio over which they can tell each other to stay far away from the scum with broken legs, let him die on the street, IMO.
  2. All Arcadia buildings are built with really small fridges, like in hotels. I don't think anybody can "live" in those condos, with tiny fridges only good for a night or two worth of food & drink.
  3. Totally confusing until one reads the link to actual story. This reporter certainly did not think of adding the necessary important details.
  4. The problem with weed is that it takes a while to take effect, and during that time, you could consume much more than necessary. Case in point the two ruskies who ate brownies and had a hell of a paranoid experience recently.
  5. Can you afford the petrol? He was talking about living in, not driving it.
  6. No, you will not have any problem renting a condo on a tourist visa. My girlfriend rents condo's to foreigners on tourist visas all the time.
  7. I doubt very much that that was a hotel. These are people who own the condo or the room in big buildings and do it privately in Agoda. They charge exorbitant amounts for cleaning which a hotel will never do.
  8. In the slammer? I bet he was sitting in the warden's aircon office drinking the best whiskey.
  9. Windscribe is free for 10GB a month, you get a button on your browser to turn it on and off, and choice of locations worldwide to base yourself in.
  10. At 73, your best bet is a retirement visa (annual) with muliple entries allowed. TOTAL cost approx. $800 through an agent, don't worry about anything else. That is for your first year, subsequent years substantially cheaper. You can enter visa exempt on arrival or tourist visa, but you save money by entering on a non-o visa issued from your country. Get a reliable agent (search this forum). Welcome to Thailand!
  11. Was you in a job you were interested in ? Yes, it were proof-reading.
  12. Well, they actually lower your visibility at night, and some look like scratches. It's a good idea to get them cleaned.
  13. Or a sheep. Interesting fact, many arab women allow their boyfriends to enter through the back door before marriage, because they have to keep the front door unused for their wedding night (bedsheets are regularly checked by in-laws).
  14. A guide to locations for this "Pattaya Vegetarian Festival" would be very much appreciated!
  15. I would think it would be worth a try to attempt to subdue Hamas and the Palestinians, by simply stopping all land encroachment on their territory, and allowing them freedom of water, food, medicine, fishing rights, and a chance to lead a peaceful life. But that's the optimist in me.
  16. Many places will charge you 500 to 1000 baht. There is a car wash at a petrol station on Sukhumvit Road near Thepprasit Road, which does it for under 100 baht. Good job, too!
  17. It would be great if all you knowledgeable people, who have actually done the research, mentioned which company(s) you are actually insured with, your age, and plan basics like coverage amount and premiums paid.
  18. 1- The Pianist 2- The Sleeping Dictionary 3- Casablanca
  19. I really don't see any need to evacuate anybody from Israel now, it will be very safe in the weeks ahead, but not so in Gaza/West Bank!
  20. Good on Mum for posting on twitter. Now she needs to keep on posting on every social media forum she can find, as well as to keep writing to every newspaper in Thailand, and to every Government official who's e-mail address she can find. Keep doing it until it wakes SOMEBODY up, due to the huge financial loss that will surely ensue due to the negative publicity she creates about "holidays" in Thailand.
  21. In fact, there is absolutely no need for the Thai Government to bring back their citizens from Israel, because from now on in, it is going to be a very one sided "war", and Israel by and large is going to be a very safe place to be, compared to Palestine.
  22. A guy totally out of touch with reality, or the people's feelings. He just stepped in some deep doggie sh*t by speaking out against someone who the majority of Thai people love.
  23. The PM seems to be a bit more sensible than his predecessors i.e. stopping military purchases for the next year, etc., and one would hope, he will also put a stop to the purchase of this completely useless very expensive toy!
  24. I love the humour on this forum, thank you guys for the daily laugh!
