All Arcadia buildings are built with really small fridges, like in hotels. I don't think anybody can "live" in those condos, with tiny fridges only good for a night or two worth of food & drink.

No, you will not have any problem renting a condo on a tourist visa. My girlfriend rents condo's to foreigners on tourist visas all the time.

I doubt very much that that was a hotel. These are people who own the condo or the room in big buildings and do it privately in Agoda. They charge exorbitant amounts for cleaning which a hotel will never do.
