IMO Reverse Osmosis is overkill for well water, unless you are planning on drinking it out of the tap! Carbon is more than enough for the well, and then, if you want drinkable water, RO + of-course, UV.

More than confused, dangerously incompetent at navigating life, IMO. He leaves on a retirement visa without getting a re-entry stamp. He spends 3 days in the UK without solving his medical problems, instead of researching the same and avoiding the unnecessary trip. Now, he is not aware of his visa status and options (easily obtained from the agent who got him his present visa).

I didn't understand the logic behind non-immunization. For me, it was simple, the choice of dying from a vaccine (extremely low) vs dying from the disease (comparatively much, much higher). The inconvenience of the occasional unpleasant side-effects of the vaccine were, to me, inconsequential, compared to the nasty effects of having the disease. Vaccines have been used for many decades for many otherwise life-threatening diseases and have been proven effective time and time again, so, why on Earth not get this one?

DUI Victims Urge Prime Minister for Road Safety Reform
CanadaSam replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Personal experience in Sri Lanka a few years back. Gov't opened a new highway from airport to Colombo city, and prior to opening, did a blitz of TV and radio ads, teaching basics of highway safety, namely, staying on left side when driving slow, leaving right lane open for fast drivers, staying at least 5 car lengths away from car in front, etc. etc. AMAZINGLY, the ENTIRE COUNTRY changed absolutely ridiculous driving habits, to a really acceptable level of compliance with the basics, taught to them on TV & radio!!! -
Not much experience on the subject, but I can see the seriousness of the problem, to you. If it were me, I would find out about some psychology courses and try to find a student or two, to talk things over with on a regular basis, obviously much cheaper than a practicing psychiatrist.

Compare the level of sanity in this "third world" country vs the insanity of the "united" states of america! Thank God for this, now women all over the states have the option of getting down to Mexico for their needed abortion, easily accessible to all states.

Sorry, I didn't realize. My bad.

I had a pretty good steak for 69 baht last week only 50 meters down the road, opposite the 711. I second getting the Bolt app, cheaper than the "win" bikes, and airconditioned too! Even cheaper is the new Maxim app, maybe they are on introductory rates, but cheaper than Bolt!

How much does health insurance cost in Thailand now?
CanadaSam replied to Social Media's topic in Health and Medicine
Yes, WR Life seems to be the absolute cheapest available, but have you ever used them for a claim? -

Just bought a policy from Pacific Cross, Baht 51,000 per year, 3 million Baht cover, inpatient only, 63 year old male, retired. Inpatient only, because you can easily get accident outpatient insurance from your bank for a few hundred baht per year (tied to the debit/credit card you wish to have). It works, used it numerous times, didn't have to pay a dime at the hospital(s). After a LOT of research, decided Pacific Cross is the cheapest and probably the most reliable, and the Premier Plus policy is necessary, because no limit per incident, up to 3 million. They have cheaper policies, but then there are very low limits "per incidence" of hospitalization. -
K9 heroes: Police dogs rescue missing toddler in Chiang Mai
CanadaSam replied to webfact's topic in Chiang Mai News
Hope the dogs got a real nice treat for this! And the family a little colour blind, perhaps, judging by the kid's clothing? -
I am aware of Thai's generally lacking slightly in common sense, but a farang? The OP is asking for names of companies to help him, but he neglects to tell us his location? Strange...

Totally agree, until one night last week at the TQ, a girl was trying to fondle my private parts, trying to sit on my lap, until I asked her "will you leave me alone if I buy you a drink?" and she agreed, happily, none of the other girls disturbed me after that! You see, I go to these places mainly for the ambience and the MUSIC, and some R&R to enjoy my drinks and smoke in peace!

Pattaya Condo Real Estate Agents
CanadaSam replied to hammered's topic in Real Estate, Housing, House and Land Ownership
There are only a few companies that deal with low-end condo's: Green Door, Gecko, and a couple others. I will suggest you find what you want through a large real estate portal like Thailand-Property.com and then try to approach the agent who placed the listing, direct. -
Don't know about living on a boat, but there are a couple of condo's that allow you moor your boat right outside, namely Whale Marina and one other, I forget the name.

Slightly off-topic, but if you're worried about people getting into your main account, why not simply open another account with mobile app access, and transfer money into that account whenever you need, via PC or ATM or Branch, or whatever?

Early reporting?? A question
CanadaSam replied to Felton Jarvis's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I agree with Dr. Jack, just keep it on your phone (online backup of all your phone info to google / apple) and only print it if and when you need it.
