YOU have posted 11 out of perhaps 20 (I did not count the total) comments on this topic, ALL negative, about a fruit vendor in Thailand giving his food for free, to a foreigner who said he was hungry, and didn't have any money. To most normal people, this is a "good deed" and should be rewarded, and acknowledged, as it was, in this post. And as far as the video, and the foreigner concerned, you DO know that many people these days make their living off videos which people want to see? Your expressing your anger at this post, is fine, in one or two posts, but ELEVEN???? Do you have anything else to do, except to hijack this thread for your personal likes and dislikes? I think this is the most serious part of your long post. IF immigration has the ability to make these types of notes on people's records (can anybody else confirm, please?), and if this is on your file, I think you will have serious problems in the future.

It is exactly this type of friendly and generous attitude of the Thai people that made me decide to retire here, granted I first started coming to Thailand over 20 years ago, when it was more prevalent. This video is gold for the Tourism authority, as it genuinely promotes Thai people as friendly and generous.

That doesn't look like a one meter drop from his driveway to the "road". Perhaps they are referring to the holes in the ground on either side of the sewer, which will eventually be filled up. Looking into his driveway, it doesn't look like he has a car, only a motorcycle, for which the problem seems to have been resolved temporarily with the planks. Not really newsworthy (in Thailand) IMHO.

I mostly drive a car, occasionally motorbike, and I can verify that 90 percent of the time, it is foreigners who go zipping past me way over the speed limit, from both sides, no helmet, etc. and I KNOW their time is limited on this planet. Thai motorcycle drivers are FAR better, when it comes to predictability.

How many unfortunate tourists landed in Thailand today, to find one of the very valuable days of their short 3/4/5 day "holiday" is dry, no bars open? Go Thailand, continue with losing repeat visitors to this "holiday" destination!
