  1. Buy a relatively harmless BB gun, practice for a while, problem solved, not only with monkeys but all other attackers.
  2. He didn't take only the 10%, he took all of it.
  3. People will probably shout at me, but when I travel, I put everything I want into my checked luggage, (except blatantly illegal things i.e. drugs, weapons). At most, some items may be confiscated, so don't put anything you simply can not afford to lose. BTW think about how many times you have been asked to open your bags at international airports.
  4. I have a fantastic maid, actually a ladyboy, who is amazing, every nook and corner, inside fridge, even opens up the fans and makes them look brand new, asks 500 for my one-bedroom, I give her 600. I'm really sorry I can not give you his/her contact here, as lately she has become so busy, it's difficult to get her/him immediately.
  5. When North Korea developed Nuclear Weapons, it was a different time, with little understanding of how extremists / terrorists work. Today is vastly different, with uncle sam being very aware of the destructive power of even a single terrorist. Iran, nor any other non fully democratic country will ever be allowed these weapons. Israel will soon bomb their facilities back to the stone age (with usa help), and any other dictatorships attempting to develop such weapons will meet a similar fate. The world is now "woke" guys, stop worrying about it, there are many wiser and much more informed guys than us working on this 24/7.
  6. If the cop had a gun this may have turned out completely differently.
  7. Apart from what others have contributed, from my personal experience, if the passport(s) have quite a few trips to other countries completed without over-stay, the chances improve tremendously.
  8. Don Muang Airport to Bangkok City Centre: 28 km Suvarnabhumi Airport to Bangkok City Centre: 33 km Safe to say there are 2 airports servicing Bangkok City.
  9. I don't know about others, but I have always found, that when I'm nice to people, they are invariably nice to me. Not only that, but when I help people, God somehow finds a way to help me, when and if I need it. IF the entire world lived like that, I think this would be paradise.
  10. In my mind, the problem is something totally different. Some intelligent people, business people, successful people, also back this sheister. I simply can not, for the life of me, figure out why??? If somebody will explain it to me, I will be really grateful!
  11. Laundering money, in a pond?
  12. Small shop directly in front of Laguna 2, girl speaks good English, very reasonable charges for really good work, IMO.
  13. The never-ending road construction, almost as soon as it's "done" it starts all over again!
  14. Take out the keys? Wouldn't that turn off the a/c? How about take out the child?
  15. I can't imagine anybody choosing WU over Wise, WU uses the lousiest exchange rates, and then charges high fees on top!
  16. Key missing info: Why bail and how much? Wouldn't she just have to walk into any Chinese consulate, where she is untouchable?
  17. Agree with worgeordie you have a very minor problem which can easily be fixed with drain covers and pouring of bleach down the drains every couple of weeks. I would only add that the clothes washing bleach available in stores is not strong enough, you would need clorox or equivalent, something a little stronger which will also clean your drains for you.
  18. I have a problem with people like you who HOG the entire post with nonsensical back and forth arguments with another member, forcing us to sift through all your BS trying to find the actual details and intelligent replies that we are actually interested in, yes.
  19. Why don't you bickering fools get a room?
  20. Wow, if ever I heard of somebody deserving, this guy is IT! Would love to contribute, any idea how or where? A search for "Nopparat Rescue Foundation in Chiang Mai" comes up with nothing!
  21. I find the facility to search for the cheapest dates, a month or even a year at a time, very helpful on SkyScanner and also Kiwi.com Amazing deals, if your travel dates are flexible!
  22. Sorry, I should have explained that I have numerous sources of income abroad, including governmental and private, and it's cumbersome to deal with my banks abroad to transfer funds, each has their own systems and at my age, it's difficult for me, so I just permanently channeled them all to my Wise account, where I find it extremely easy to transfer between currencies, and also to transfer to anybody anywhere, with minimal input, including to myself (my Thai bank accounts) whenever I wish.
  23. This is exactly why I use WISE! ALL foreign funds, private or otherwise, go into my Wise account, and I then choose where to send it, and to whom, whenever it's convenient for me. In your case, you would send it directly to your daughter, so it would not even show up as "your" income in Thailand, so non-taxable!
  24. Another post with bickering members deflecting from the topic. It's NOT about whether or not to use an agent, it's about ILLEGAL activities by THIS stupid agent, who is now in hot water. Kudo's to the cops for getting there quick, freeing the guy, and also pressing charges against the agent, hope they get a long jail term for doing this to a customer.
