Well perhaps the international community, instead of just criticising Israel, could advise them on how they can differentiate between Hamas terrorists and civilians, when the terrorists continually disguise themselves as civilians, medics, health officials and as aid workers for the UN affiliated aid agency UNRWA. If thousands of Hamas terrorists keep disguising themselves like this, innocent civilians will be mistakenly killed, but none of the critics either internationally, or on this forum, can offer any suggestion as to how the IDF can tell the difference in order to minimise civilian casualties. Hamas has, and continues, to deliberately make everyone in Gaza a sacrificial target to feed their propaganda machine, and the gullible keep lapping it up.

Jeff, do you remember reading about how independent and bona fide the UN affiliated aid agency UNRWA were; then the world discovered that some of their operatives actually took part in the most barbaric atrocity in modern history on 7 October 2023. Then more recently it was revealed that UNRWA operatives have been holding some of the tortured and dying hostages on behalf of Hamas, in some of their facilities in Gaza (some aid agency eh) That you (want to) believe the Palestinian Red Crescent can operate in Gaza and not be under the complete control of Hamas is no surprise really because you have form on defending, excusing, and deflecting criticism from Hamas. Independent journalists at the BBC, that’s an oxymoron if ever there was. When the BBC did have journalists in Gaza, their own war correspondent, Jon Donnison, stood there and reported that the blast at the Al-Ahli Arab hospital was caused by an Israeli airstrike, and not, as it actually was, by a misfired rocket from the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) from within Gaza. He is the same BBC correspondent who posted a photo of a young girl lying on a hospital bed with bloodied clothes, with the caption “Heartbreaking, Pain in #Gaza” …. when it later transpired that the photo of the young girl was actually taken in Syria. Is this the BBC that you would like to send their own “independent” journalists to show the world what is going on there ? The BBC is institutionally antisemitic and has been for more than 30 years of my viewing; that you don’t know that means you have very little knowledge of their history of broadcasting, and almost certainly are not from the UK yourself. Do some proper research.

This is a terrible idea, leave Koh Chang as it is; although it is, I believe, the third largest island in Thailand, almost 70% of it is mountains and rain forests. The island does not have the infrastructure to cope with a huge increase in visitors, nor does it have, because of the terrain, the potential to expand accommodation by much, just to please weekend visitors from Bangkok. Long live the ferry.
