Do you look older than your age?
observer90210 replied to georgegeorgia's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Genetics play a role, no doubt. Over exposure to sun also can play a role in premature aging of the skin. But not as much as the inner mental state of the subject. A sour and bitter poster individual 😚 will obviously look the part. A subject with a childish mind, happy, foolishly nice to all, stays away from toxic people, ignores all the sh@[t going on all over the world, no drugs or excess booze, who is not afraid of being silly n'stupid, who does not take himself/herself to seriously, and who knows a great plastic surgeon, will obviously look younger and be far more fun to hang out with to tease the fine ladies all around. 🤣 -
Are the 90 day online reports taking longer to approve?
observer90210 replied to giddyup's topic in Pattaya
TM47 . TM27 (change of address) or TM30 when it's a private home, need to plainly be abolished. They are plainly dinosaurs of bureaucracy from the dark ages. -
Africa is great if you take it the Africain way. Try to make it work with our western standards and expectations and it's a crash for sure. Very much like in Thailand.

Were they tough working years?
observer90210 replied to georgegeorgia's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
The toughness of harsh jobs is often realised only when one quits. A bit like fear in an extreme situation - it comes only once it's over. -
On a personal note, one may prefer the bikini clad Viet Jet Air livery cleavage 🤔

advice on purchasing a motorcycle
observer90210 replied to mavrik's topic in Motorcycles in Thailand
I would start from getting the proper Thai bike licence. It's one less excuse for the BiB to get some tea money fines from the biker farang. -
Maybe the tour managers got greedy and were asking far to much for Thailand ?

Getting rid of stuff must bear new discpline in not accumulating fresh junk, more once space is made. Best is to plainly Stop accumulating those must-haves before it all clutters up. Does one really need to keep those cartons of various appliances once the warranty expires ? Have so much stationnery ? Continue to help ourselves with those lovely freebies in the hotel bathrooms ? 😝 Kepping all those magasines or gifts that are never used ? Not getting rid of clothes/shoes not worn since 2 or 3 years ? All that hardware in the garage with no clue on where to mount it ? etc etc. The Marie Kondo renowned japanese method, could make sense and give guidance towards an impeccable environment. Check-it out.

Thailand to bid to host 2028 World Pride
observer90210 replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Considering the large amount of LB all over Nana and the country, not surprising that the Rainbow warriors wish to party in Thailand. Doesn't bother me as long as things are clearly established that they keep on their side and no sudden surprises from behind the back ... The claims to boost economy and tourism always jut on everything and nothing. The solution however is simple. Make immigration issues, bureaucratic formalities or plainly opening a bank account less a hassle for all the snowbirds, tourists or retirees to start with who are big spenders here. Stop asking for those absurd residence certificates, quadruple certifiel-notorized-translations or TM 30's for instance ? 😁 -
Any ideas on how long such outdoor sprays need to be avoided after a fresh coat of spray ?

Labour ministry to raise minimum wage to Bt400 max by December
observer90210 replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Many ask double that amount to offer their daily services rightfully or wrongfully... -
Open till 22h00 or 23h00 (10 or 11 pm) is decent enough for non food malls or stores, 7 days a week. On the other hand, the longer it's open daily, the fewer the crowds ont the week-end perhaps ? In today's world, it could make sense not to open malls 24/7. But when it comes to essentials like food and with considering the large portion of society in urban metros do not have a 9 to 5 desk job......24/7 opening hours for food malls does make sense. If the unions or policy makers refuse, it could lead to a faster implementation of A.i. and unmanned grocery stores that are jutting out like mushrooms in major cities all over the world. With obvious consequences of loosing or reducing available jobs.

I am afraid but you are right. But there will always be as]]]les all over the world. Your instinct is obviously your best defense. I just say "sure" whatever when the discussion get's ugly by me standards...and never get anywhere closer to such toxic individuals. On any forum or social media, I do the same and plainly introduce such fine chaps on the "ignore" list at the first rude comment, and file closed. 🤣 As we say, don't speak to fools, you will make them them smart🤣 -

no book for sure. if there was a book, maybe many would learn some elementary decency. sure, one can do as one feels...but then one may need to face the consequences. does not matter if one complains or not, it is human. what matters is how you say it. -

Race, politics, wealth or skin colour are amongst the taboos, never to be discussed in public. Often at one's own expense. -

Everybody can complain, it's as humain as breathing. What matters is how you complain. The tone, attitude and body language you use. And in this area, many foreigners in Thailand are rather clumsy in handling. I prefer the complain-explain dogma. Mainly when dealing with non-Thais in service-providing businesses or real estate issues. They can tend to be as bad or worse then locals in handling and fixing the issue. -
Try getting the voltage of the battrey tested at any road side shop with a multimeter ? I use such a device to check on my remote batteries etc when left unused. Sometimes just brushing the battery with plastic or a metal brush (the small remote ones) give it an extra use of a few weeks or more.
