    Relieving the current debt of farmers will lead them into more debt as their perception will be that the government will bail them out again and again. Maybe better to teach them to grow other, more valuable crops than rice. I remember visiting some of Rama IX's projects that taught farmers multi crop rotation. It meant they could grow food through the year

    Saw a Jackie Chan film in India. The crowd was all into it with constant cheers and cries of, "Hit him Jackie!" Better entertainment than the film but once it's enough.

    Thais have never seen a Scandinavian prison I guess. Television, fridge, hot and cold water etc. The difference is one system seeks to punish, the other to reform.

    It's like deja vu all over again. I can remember when Russians were an important part of the Pattaya economy, with Russian restaurants and menus in Russian everywhere. Now they're back to a different reception.

    It seems things have moved on from the "Biden crime family" to the "Hunter who committed a crime(s)."

    The key line in the article (that lists the very petty crimes the family was caught for) is "There is no evidence that Joe Biden, now the presumptive Democratic nominee for president, ever personally interceded on his family’s behalf." Hardly a "crime family".

    The irony is, they write the word Bharat in English script. Real nationalists would write भारत Now that would make the change of name confuse the world.
