How would a visa transfer to a new passport after losing it?
I consider it prudent to keep copies of all my relevant passport pages that concern my annual extension as a backup. It payed dividends when 10 years ago I lost my passport. Got the police report and a new passport and provided the copies to IB and it was all restamped up without question.

Online Extensions, via VFS ????
You can only get a visa extension at a immigration office unless you are using a agent. As far as I am aware VFS is not acting as a agent.

Is It Really Cheaper In The Sticks?
Many things are cheaper in the sticks, that is a small Isaan village in my book. Places like Tops are only to be found in some larger cities. The main supermarkets are Lotus's, BigC and of course the 7s etc. I would imagine prices are fairly standard across the country. Yesterday I paid 65 baht for a large bottle of Leo, Chang is 60. In Pattaya recently I paid 55 baht in LK Metro for a small Leo, happy hour price before 9pm. A full bowl of pork noodle soup 40 baht. You can build a small 1 floor house with 2 bedrooms, living room, kitchen and bathroom for 1M baht maybe slightly more or less. You do need a car but parking is free.

It's all mumbo jumbo, when they get into power the ears are tugged, the elbows clasped and the reality of how the corruption wheel spins is revealed. Hence change means, no change at all and the status quo rumbles on...

Is this Dengue vaccination a good idea?
Sadly a 12 year old girl died from Dengue 2 days ago, in my Isaan village, as far as I am aware there is no cure and no real vaccine available to combat Dengue, although I am aware work is ongoing but has been for years.

Thai Tourism Minister Urges Avoiding Stereotyping Chinese Tourists Amid Visa Policy Crime Concerns
Seems like the new minister is turning into a Muppet just like the previous incumbent. As for the tourism ministry ensuring compliance with all laws this is clearly a joke as they have no jurisdiction whatsoever.

First Mobile Cabinet Meeting to Focus on Northeast Economy
KK and UT are probably the richest 2 Isaan provinces, how about the rest like Yasothon for example. Even people in UT work in small factories only earning 300 baht a day, 6 days a week, that's where the focus should be.
