Baby rescued after being dumped on garbage heap in Chon Buri
nobodysfriend replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
A very young woman is sometimes abused in Thailand ( and elsewhere ) and becomes pregnant . She might try to hide her pregnancy out of fear of the consequences , and , when the baby is born , she does not know what to do ... There should be a place in every hospital ( baby trap ) where unwanted babies can be left to receive care ... -

Some wanna-be thai politicians like the ' Opposition chief whip Suthin Klangsaeng ' want to create themselves a reputation of being " the clean and serious guy " , being against everything ... I hope that nobody votes for them ... -

Some people , even knowing that they are sick , still go to work . Sorry , but in case of a contagious covid infection , that is irresponsible behavior . Especially when one woks in close contact to other people . -

Does that means hundreds of years being old ? No , thanks ... But if you meant that it might be possible one day to just stop aging , that might be a different thing ... 55 Everything in Universe is aging , time is the most powerful dimension . And everything's lifespan is limited in time , and there is a reason for that . -

Thai Alcohol Control Committee opposes selling booze till 4 AM

This means that the ' entertainment venues ' will not be allowed to serve alcohol after 2 am , but can stay open until 4 am ? May be , that is reasonable after all ... It would give time to drunk customers to sober up a little before closing time ? One last drink at 2 am , after that only non-alcoholic beverages ... -

Thailand’s car sales for the first ten months jump 17%
nobodysfriend replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
No shortage of money here ... would be nice to know how many of these cars were EV's ... I would not buy a new car with a combustion engine anymore ... next year a few nice electric vehicles will come to the thai market ... https://www.toyota.com/electrified/ -
That sounds like the annual fires start automatically when the dry season arrives ... but the do not start automatically , most are lit by people trying to profit from it . ( mushrooms , crop burning etc ... ) These people realize well the damage they do to the health of everybody living over there , but they don't seem to care ... Hefty fines and prison for them ! If they cannot be found , fine the land owners . ( in case of crop burning ) . Chiang Mai has a reputation for being one of the world's most ( air ) polluted cities . That will certainly not attract visitors . And it is the same every year without authorities ever showing a real will or desire to change that .

They are right . Add to that the ' loss of face ' for the thai government about their constant U-turning , it has proven by many countries who already legalized it , that there are very few negative side-effects of legalizing a herb that was used by people for centuries already , anyway .
