  1. It is located Zone 2 after security and prior to passport control. It's adjacent left side. At airport they offer an optional "service fee" 200b and provide tm8 + photo etc so you just hand over pp.
  2. OP, have a read of this thread... https://aseannow.com/topic/1296230-child-going-overseas-without-mother/ It refers to "consent letter" from mother. Has a link to it early in the thread. Probably not necessary however there for consideration.
  3. Ongoing posts regarding OP removed along with replies. @TroubleandGrumpy enough.
  4. When did you open your Bank account
  5. The OP location would be useful. Also did not mention banks asking for COR. Yellow book? Doubt that.
  6. Discussed in this thread however did not note specific reference to "yellow book". That would be completely unreasonable. https://aseannow.com/topic/1351977-foreigners-face-new-hurdles-in-opening-thai-bank-accounts/
  7. With a Non O you should be able to open a Thai Bank account. What is your location, meaning where are you being refused by banks you mention. A Bank may also request a certificate of residence. That is obtained at immigration. Which immigration office. BTW: To buy time you can obtain 60 day extension "to visit wife"
  8. Similar to all your posts. Heavy handed using terms like "dunderhead" to describe those that do not use agents.. The amounts and easy access to agents you are posting seems to suggest Jomtien. Some immigration offices simply do not deal with agents. In some instances the stamps are obtained elsewhere. As, I pointed out in another post... the paperwork for extension retirement is not extensive. I often suggest folk use agents for various reasons, not the least being mobility, insufficient funds etc. Bit rich to refer to those opting to not use an agent as dunderheads.
  9. For some reason this is often not mentioned. "Money in Bank" Method is one alternative. The other being "income method" As soon as the funds hit your Thai Bank they can be used. Suggest at min 65k per month most would not find that excessive. An added bonus is that the funds are not tied up in a Thai Bank and upon demise funds in Bank is a non issue. Paperwork for extensions retirement are minimal. Main focus is on banking side of things. A 12 month Bank statement (200b) and Bank Letter (100b) can be obtained with visit to Bank. Easy peasy.
  10. Back up the high horse. Most including myself are well aware of the term and meaning of "opportunity cost" I have 800k in Thai Bank for immigration and those funds (at some point) came from my CBus Superannuation account which historically pays 8%. So yes there is an opportunity cost involved. It's a personal choice so IMO turn it down a notch. Implying someone is a fool for not using an agent is your opinion.
  11. What is the validity of passport? Have you obtained a 30 day extension already?
  12. That's only if the agent is also obtaining the Non O Some folk enter with a Non O and have agent do extension.
  13. You pre arrange it. Including payment. You are greeted airside prior to passport control. The agent needs copies of pp pages to determine cost. Things such as refused entry, ED visa etc can trigger higher cost. Here is one mob https://www.facebook.com/people/Friendly-Thai-Visa-Services/61552069237778/
  14. How are your posts remotely connected to expats living in Thailand. Topic of thread. Enjoy you "few months" as a tourist.
  15. In other words zero to do with the thread that concerns annual extensions not folk on tourist visas.
  16. OP, quite frankly you do not have enough money in reserve. Stay in Thailand as Long as possible and eventually move back to UK
  17. Not wanting to sidetrack your thread... Just an added tad unrelated note. My Thai partner owns few properties. One has farang teacher. Guess he has a non b (not married) . Anyway the list added to the TM30 is ridiculous. Don't have list in front of me. Obviously copy blue book. Her Thai ID etc. In addition copy title (chanote) Wait for it... Copy of contract of purchase etc etc. I said... "That's it, we no rent to farang in future"
  18. Don't see the funny side. Indeed many aging expats living in Thailand have significant mobility/health issues. A trip to somewhere such as CW can be a major undertaking and currently Thai immigration does not have considerations in place for this. In addition the thread is not about the use or otherwise of agents for extensions. Further posts re agents will be removed as off topic.
  19. Your first point is still incorrect. This thread explains it. In particular post by @Tod Daniels https://aseannow.com/topic/1334345-90-day-report-must-be-in-person-after-each-re-entry/ As for the video. Yes it does work. Just had to hit play twice.
