  1. Nice deal imo. For once I can compliment Oz pp renewal in that you can do the entire process online, apart from posting to Oz embassy Bangkok. If located in Pattaya and renewing UK pp I would be using the deal you mentioned
  2. I agree with the 3 posters you mentioned. Think it's more a lost in translation thing. You will need to do your own 90 reporting after the PE expires. No big deal. The "exit Thailand" thinking meaning exit and reenter prior to visa expiry.
  3. Not a problem for transfer of visa information and stamps. In your OP you are correct and the expiry for extension will be same as expiry of pp.. Some countries have the "6 month rule" however you don't plan travel out of Thailand. No issue.
  4. Discussed in this thread.... https://aseannow.com/topic/1320645-doing-online-90-day-report-on-new-passport/ Note: no urgency to transfer stamps. In hindsight you could have waited till your 90 report window was open and do the transfer and TM47 with one visit. Don't forget to update your bank with new pp.
  5. Grammar police post removed along with reply.
  6. Here is thread outlining docs for COR. https://aseannow.com/topic/1328161-quick-one-residency-certificate/ Suggest you do a TM30 and obtain your COR at CR. Be aware that you can renew your TDL up to one year past expiry.
  7. Nothing to do with "this year" he has been on continuous extensions and in that period has obtained one 60 day extension to visit wife. That's all he can obtain.
  8. Correct. Visa exempt entry is currently 60 days for many countries. Some border crossing require overnight stay. A border bounce agent can avoid that requirement.
  9. No. Apart for rejection of extension and be given 7 day to exit Thailand. You would be extending your permission of stay and as you have used your 60 day extension to visit wife then the only other option is 12 month extension. Since you plan to change visa options in future, you could border bounce without reentry permit and reenter visa exempt. Or cheapest flight out/back reenter visa exempt. All messy.
  10. Thanks for report. Seems this a new thing when "upgrade" was made to online reporting and TM30 became necessary including reentry from international trip. I have never provided CW with a TM30 ever. Be that for annual extensions, COR, TM47 etc. November I will attend CW for 12 month extension and will take a lovely new TM30 for the place I have lived in for 12+ years. If I sound jaded then probably am.
  11. News to me. I'm unaware of any agent that can do extensions marriage without client providing the financial requirements.
  12. You can obtain reentry permit (multi or single) at airport on day of departure.
  13. Just to clarify a non O visa that expires next May? Do you have an extension with reentry permit? If you had a Multi Entry non O visa, then I can understand the May expiry as that visa is valid for 12 months
  14. If someone was dealing with eg CW then possibly leave it to date attending for extension as the fines do not accrue. You mention immigration is handy to where you live. Do it over next few weeks. Take 2k
  15. Reminder email is only for online reporting and is not reliable. Suggest you use your Google calendar with notification on.
  16. You cannot submit it online. At some point need to attend immigration in person. You will be fined 2000b No need to rush. Do it when convenient or still better when you have other need to visit immigration.
  17. You are missing the point. This thread is not CM specific.
  18. Won't include rest of your post. In the main incorrect. This thread is Thailand specific. Visas are not transfered. For folk living in Thailand on eg extensions from a non O-A, non O etc....the information noting details of the visa is transferred. Have that done at Thai immigration office along with reentry permit (if have one) Multi enter visa is different. They are not transfered and if travel internationally then required to present both pp. Any valid visa, reentry permit etc remains valid in old pp even when that pp is cancelled. Note: for others. Stamps are transfered where they are issued. I obtained new pp recently at CW and they cannot transfer reentry permit as I always obtain permit at airport. Travel to Vietnam often and as result I need to travel with both passports.
  19. OP, here is 16 page recent ish thread. Enjoy. https://aseannow.com/topic/1317702-pink-id-card-for-foreigners/
  20. OP, out of interest, which visa are you planning to obtain
  21. Indeed the METV would be good fit for you. You could achieve the 6 months and would have zero issues. Especially as you want to limit time per year in Thailand to under 6 months. Where you are located in Thailand comes into play sightly as you do require exits from Thailand every 2 months or 3 with an extension.
  22. As pointed out by earlier replies, the 90 report is a red herring.
  23. OP, how long do you imagine their up coming visit will be. You mention 3-5 months is that the extent of the visit to Thailand or just length of stay at your place. You mention use of agent. Did they maintain the financial requirements for current extension or agent arranged that. Was one extension based on dependant "piggyback on on extension based on retirement. You OP requires more details.
