  1. True, however in reality visitors to Thailand only need a TM30 if having dealings with immigration. Common one for tourists is extension. In the OP situation if obtaining a non O he would do nothing regards TM30 unlike extending a visa exempt entry which require a TM30 printout
  2. Did not expect that reply. Thinking his first step is to find out where the pp is currently. If it's lost fine....contact agent to confirm situation with location of pp. Ascertain that for next steps.
  3. OP, as you can read from all the posts really comes down to non O vs visa exempt entry+ 30 day extension. Where you will be staying comes into play to some extent. Access to immigration office etc. One advantage of the non O is zero dealing with immigration after you arrive.. Also possible requirement from airline to have onward flight within the 60 days would not be necessary with a Visa Granted there are ways around that. Google "onwardticket.com"
  4. Indeed.... And for anyone confused about insurance requirement for a non O-A be aware that this is a requirement for ongoing annual extensions. Such a good visa prior to insurance requirement being added.
  5. Good agents can do the process of passport renewal. Seems your friend has a useless agent. What area is your friend located. Was the agent a business with physical presence, meaning office. Agents (in the main) do not/cannot help with overstay. Does the agent actually have the license.. USA pp renewal should have taken under 3 weeks. I did my Oz pp renewal recently and it took 20 days from mail to Bangkok to received return mail.
  6. That is a new requirement to update your bankbook and provide photocopies of pages of bb back to application for current extension. It was never required previously however is currently at CW. Bank letter and statement is overkill.
  7. Thread closed. No longer dealing with OP question.
  8. Not suggesting your experience not true. However it was an anomaly. Never happens. The OP should attend immigration on Monday as he is still within "grace period" for in person reporting. OR skip it and wait till next time he needs to attend immigration office. Fine will be 2k. Does not accumulate.
  9. Of course it requires financials. The OP would need to satisfy those requirements. Obviously it would be funds in bank. If that's not possible then he can enter Thailand visa exempt and obtain 30 day extension.
  10. 5 page thread re "volunteering" here https://aseannow.com/topic/1299046-not-working-just-helping-the-wife/
  11. OP has current same thread. Thread closed.
  12. Attend immigration office Monday and do the TM47 in person. You can do it 7 days late in person and avoid the 2000b fine. Email reminder is hit and miss. Put it in Google calendar best policy.
  13. I use a dedicated bank account for immigration. CW insists that from (2 years ago) that I provide a 12 month bank statement. Previously (10+ years) just my bank book and photocopies of pages was sufficient. When I questioned Why? The answer was ..."in some months no deposit withdrawal" Agree, ridiculous
  14. Non O-A can only be obtained in home country or country where you have permanent residence status. A non O can be obtained in home country or nearby Thai consulates/embassies eg Savannakhet. Also countries that provide eVisa. Note some countries will be switching to eVisa eg Vietnam. Non O can also be obtain in Thailand at immigration from a visa exempt or tourist visa entry.
  15. Fee is 100b for "bank letter" that confirms account is active, you are the owner and balance on date of issue. 12 month bank statement is printout of all the transactions over past 12 months. Cost 200b Bank letter issued on the spot. Bank statements issue on the spot for most banks however approx 5-7 days for BBL
  16. Failing obtaining an appointment.. Arriving just prior to lunch break you could obtain que ticket and use the hour to do any extra paperwork eg bank letter etc.. The que desk lady will want to see your filled out TM7 (extension form)
  17. Just now I tried for appointment for extension marriage. Calendar shows October FULL Not letting me move to November. Don't understand that. I can move to one month in advance for Retirement. As pointed out I have appointments for Nov 5 made week ago
  18. I made 2 appointments at CW a week ago for November 5. One for extension retirement and one for TM47 I used this link https://bangkok.immigration.go.th/en/onlineservice-and-publicguide/ Note: off topic..you can now make appointments for COR. Also you can print out your appointment on the spot
  19. The OP would be obtaining the non O retirement eVisa.. Entering Thailand and presumably obtaining 12 month extension. No point taking the funds out as it needs to be seasoned for 2 months for the extension. If not planning on obtaining the extension then yes could withdraw funds once eVisa issued
  20. Excellent OP report in this thread October at KK.. @KhunBENQ My last two extensions at CW (using money in bank method) the io wanted 12 month bank statement. The reason is that some months had zero transactions. (Ridiculous)
