Just to clarify a non O visa that expires next May? Do you have an extension with reentry permit? If you had a Multi Entry non O visa, then I can understand the May expiry as that visa is valid for 12 months

If someone was dealing with eg CW then possibly leave it to date attending for extension as the fines do not accrue. You mention immigration is handy to where you live. Do it over next few weeks. Take 2k

You cannot submit it online. At some point need to attend immigration in person. You will be fined 2000b No need to rush. Do it when convenient or still better when you have other need to visit immigration.

Won't include rest of your post. In the main incorrect. This thread is Thailand specific. Visas are not transfered. For folk living in Thailand on eg extensions from a non O-A, non O etc....the information noting details of the visa is transferred. Have that done at Thai immigration office along with reentry permit (if have one) Multi enter visa is different. They are not transfered and if travel internationally then required to present both pp. Any valid visa, reentry permit etc remains valid in old pp even when that pp is cancelled. Note: for others. Stamps are transfered where they are issued. I obtained new pp recently at CW and they cannot transfer reentry permit as I always obtain permit at airport. Travel to Vietnam often and as result I need to travel with both passports.

Indeed the METV would be good fit for you. You could achieve the 6 months and would have zero issues. Especially as you want to limit time per year in Thailand to under 6 months. Where you are located in Thailand comes into play sightly as you do require exits from Thailand every 2 months or 3 with an extension.

As pointed out by earlier replies, the 90 report is a red herring.

OP, how long do you imagine their up coming visit will be. You mention 3-5 months is that the extent of the visit to Thailand or just length of stay at your place. You mention use of agent. Did they maintain the financial requirements for current extension or agent arranged that. Was one extension based on dependant "piggyback on on extension based on retirement. Not long ago I had stamps transfered to new passport. They wanted my bank books (I use FD and savings account) Not only that they made me go downstairs to banks and have make a deposit. That's correct. However immigration offices can vary. Just as a back up do photocopy of bankbook pages. The cover page with name and account number and pages back till last extension. There will be no transactions apart from any interest. My last extension I used two accounts at CW. I provided 12 month statement for savings account and just bank book pages for FD account

No. Appears that you are using fixed deposit account. No 12 month bank statement required. For those of us using funds in the bank method then immigration offices accept photocopies of bank book pages back to last extension. Note that some offices are now insisting on 12 month bank statement. This happened to me with recent extension as I had one month with zero transaction. The standard bank letter I referred to is your second pic in earlier pic Here is example.

Many would disagree. For some countries visa exempt to Vietnam is not an option eg USA, AU etc. Two visa options to Vietnam for those folk is a single entry tourist visa valid for 30 days or a multi 3 months. Thailand provides visa visa exempt (60 days) that can be extended by 30. METV that provides stay up to 9 months albeit you need to bounce every 60 days (or 90 if you Obtain extension) Pretty easy to have long "winter breaks" in Thailand.

Only recently did CW issue a COR without having made a 90 day report. That's impossible on a tourist or visa exempt entry. The alternative to the COR from immigration (for the banks) is letter from embassy however some embassies do not provide that including UK, USA, AU Agents can open an account with BBL for approx 5k, most of which goes to purchase of insurance.

With a COR should be possible on any visa. DVT is a visa

The guy you posted had obtained a COR. With that he would be able to open account at most banks. Branch info not necessary, however he may provide details.

TM6 not required for entry via air 2022. Some land borders still have you fill in TM6. Just leave blank for various dealing with immigration. Such as TM47, Extensions etc
