Whatever. I'm dealing with CW . I did not provide TM30 when I had stamps and visa info transfered. Along with all the other things I mentioned in earlier post. COR, TDL, annual EXTENSIONS etc

Been in Thailand 10 years on non O extensions retirement. I have never done a TM30 for any extension, certificate of residence, TDL, New passport etc

Think is referring to certificate of residence obtained from immigration and used (in part) for things such as open bank account and Thai drivers license etc. Has various cost and time to process. For example at CW it's 200baht and takes up to 2 weeks

That was not the reason in my case. Certainly consolidated transactions can be an issue. I use dedicated bank account for immigration purposes. The immigration officer did not like the fact there were months with NO activity. Rubbish really as that has never previously been an issue for many years. CW is the outliner. Not aware of one other immigration office that has the TM47 report requirement to obtain certificate of residence.

You can certainly obtain one in Pattaya. Check with Maneerat. Also previously I have asked "Tic Tok" visa services. From memory approx 4-4.5k. Not ideal very messy but all I can suggest.

Even if you had a TM30 for place with Bangkok address that would still not be enough. CW also require you to have made a 90 day report (TM47) for the Bangkok address. You could ask an agent such as Thai Visa Center..

OP is asking about 12 month extensions retirement. As for obtain a non O (retirement) Visa?... yes that is possible you can do a "conversion" from tourist visa or visa exempt using TM86 and TM87 respectively. You would require 15+ days remaining on your current permission of stay. Longer at some offices.. Current thread running on that process if required
