  1. OP, correct answers above. You can do the extension any office provided you have a TM30 for accommodation in that area. Added note: if you obtain extension in Bangkok you would attend IT mall LakSi TM30, TM7, photo, 1900b, basic copies from pp..
  2. Good point and indeed that's exactly what the OP is doing. One COR (+photocopy) for car and bike. In addition one COR for car purchase
  3. It's a problem for me. Travel OFTEN to Saigon and if I had to attend in person for TM47/TM30 every time after international travel it would be a pain to say the least.
  4. Without immigration office detail, post means little.
  5. Since you wish to be particular... For TM47.... "... a fine of 2,000.- Baht will be collected. If a foreigner who did not make the notification of staying over 90 days is arrested, he will be fined 5,000.- Baht"
  6. This attached thread perhaps for future reports as CW require mail 14 days prior. This attached thread starts CM related however provides good information. https://aseannow.com/topic/1297097-mail-in-90-day-report/
  7. Do you have 15 days remaining till due date? You could do TM47 via mail
  8. Apart from afternoon be aware that at one stage recently folk attending Jomitien for 30 day extension say 10 days prior to expiry were sent away and told come back when less days remaining. Hopefully someone may update current state of play.
  9. No. Nor can state when/if 60 day visa exempt will happen. Thread closed.
  10. You were advised incorrectly. Also you don't open a FD account online. You visit bank
  11. Yes. I'm thinking of moving to agent for good reason. Be aware that you can travel with both passports domestic and international. Your worse case is if you attend immigration for transfer of stamps and if they want your bank book just don't provide and discuss with agent
  12. Yes. Also here is a cut paste from one guys experience at Jomitien for COR Aug last year below. Not sure about same day. Since you own condo obviously no rental contract however some proof of address...eg TM30 etc "300 me too just last week, Jomtien. 2 photos, tm30, rental contract, passport and copy of passport including details page, page with first visa, latest visa and entry stamp, application form stating reason for application. Same day." Here is form CW use. https://aseannow.com/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=439173
  13. https://aseannow.com/topic/1283077-certificate-of-residence-jomtien-immigration/ If you are obtaining both car and bike at same time you can get one certificate and photocopy. However don't tick both box for car also bike as they will issue 2 Pretty sure Jomitien does not require TM47 receipt. CW does.
  14. Two years back I wanted to open a FD account for extension purposes. BBL insisted upon certificate of residence. I was on extensions from a non O retirement and Kasikorn opened the account on the spot. You may have better luck since you have yellow book and pink ID. Re "(cricket term for what would be a curve-ball in baseball)." Love it Ad banana kick in Oz football.
  15. Outrageous scaremongering. "Admission into government hospital" My Oz friend recently here here on visa exempt had medical episode and admitted to hospital. He is coming back in August on visa exempt.....I will pass on to him that since he does not have a visa or extension he won't get into hospital or be able to withdraw cash from his Thai bank account or take a domestic flight to wherever.
  16. Exactly. Lot of nonsense in this thread. Bank will require pp to photocopy identity page and have you sign. As for VISA that's a nonsense. Many folk here have bank account and visit on visa exempt or whatever. I have never had a bank look for current permission of stay. Rubbish thread.
  17. Might be wrong on this .... I get the impression that if they see from passport that someone has option visa wise over using visa exempt entries they can make things difficult. One example I recall is a roster worker (month on month off) was using visa exempt via air. He at one point had used multi entry marriage. Was scolded re "too many visa exempt". Joining dots thinking io wanted him to use the ME Visa. In my first few years here I was traveling often to Saigon. I would obtain (in those days) triple entry tourist visa for Thailand at Thai consulate. Eventually the io at Saigon Thai consulate said "you live Thailand and over 50. No more tourist visa next time get retirement visa" I then went to Vientiane to obtain non O retirement.
  18. Keep in mind only 2 visa exempt via land per calendar year.
  19. OP, take note of post above. The process time for eVisa in Oz is quick. Entering Thailand with a non O would provide a 90 day permit and remove any time pressure. Yes the visa exempt entry will work also.
