  1. The OP mentioned using credit card for proof of funds. That is not even acceptable for visa exempt entry. Certainly no use for tourist visa. With his history seems he is between rock and hard place imo.
  2. They may also transfer your entry stamp . Realize you have a 30 day extension however how did you enter Thailand. Visa exempt ? At some point in future can you update your thread with exactly what was done by IO at international departure.
  3. The OP has been in Thailand seems 15 months. Also appears he has used his two visa exempt entry visa exempt entries per calendar year. He possibly may have options. Fly in visa exempt OR obtain a SETV. Both of which very problematic.
  4. You don't have a visa. You have a permission of stay. Also you don't have a reentry permit. At departure the io should transfer the extension stamp stamp and stamp you out. Obviously have both pp with you.
  5. Why not do it? Takes couple of minutes online. https://tm47.immigration.go.th/tm47/#/register/add
  6. https://www.immigration.go.th/en/?page_id=1666. Notification by registered mail (Thailand Post only) Send the following documents to Chiang Mai Immigration Office (Postal Address: 71 Moo. 3, Suthep, Muang, Chiang Mai 50200) Application form TM.47 – Application for Extension of Temporary Stay in The Kingdom Photocopies of the relevant pages on the passport: The personal information page, showing picture, name, expiry/issue date, etc. The page showing Non-Immigrant Visa Any pages showing previous Thailand Visa Extensions (if applicable) The page showing the latest entry stamp in Thailand A copy of the previous notification of staying over 90 days (if applicable) A copy of the TM.30 – Receipt of Notification Form for House-Master, Owner or Possessor of Residence or Hotel Manager Where Alien Has Stayed Envelope with 10 Baht stamp affixed and return address of foreigner for the officer in charge to send back the lower part of form TM. 47 after having received the notification. The send back part must be kept for reference and for future notifications of staying over 90 days. The above-mentioned documents (1-5) must be sent by registered mail before the renewal date 15 days to Immigration Office in a local area where the foreigner resides. Must keep the evidence of sending the registered mail as evidence until the document is returned. Waiting time for the document to be returned: approxim ately 30 days
  7. From the OP... "uk passport. don't want to use agency.. they are a con and not legal" Clearly does not wish to use agents. So two options . Obtain non O at nearby consulate or reenter visa exempt and obtain non O at immigration.
  8. Correct. I did edit my post already. You recommended "check with local office" That is good advice.
  9. That rogue office does not apply to HH. However true ...check with immigration office
  10. Limited options from HH. Suggest a ride to Bangkok and flight to Udon Thani for either border bounce and reenter visa exempt. 30 day stamp that can be extended by 30 days and apply for non O at Thai immigration. OR Obtain non O retirement at Vientiane. My choice would be flight to Saigon and obtain non O at consulate. Both Vientiane and Saigon require appointment. So that may not be an option depending on permit expiry.
  11. That is throw away line. From the OP... "Does anyone now of any other bangkok based agent that can still open an account?" Clearly dealing with Bangkok. He would require a certificate of residence or letter from embassy. "Loads of funds" would do nothing.
  12. From other posts it appears you have pp that allows you 30 day visa exempt stamp. It's not visa on arrival. To then obtain a new non O retirement you would require 800k in your Thai bank account.
  13. What nationality (passport) BTW why not just have agent obtain a 12 month extension. You already have a non O. The extension should not be more than 15k
  14. If you decide to obtain certificate of residence here is a link for doing that at Jomtien. Disregard the tm6 listed in first reply. https://aseannow.com/topic/1204090-apply-for-certificate-of-residence-at-jomtien/
  15. In your opinion. Which BTW is incorrect. From the OP... "I work exclusively for my clients in my home country." This topic has be done a 100 times. Referred to as "turn a blind eye" Note also the OP would be doing this from his condo . Not even in a "shared work place" No issues
  16. No entry requirements. The airline at departure may want to see onward flight for visa exempt travel. A print out of your return flight is good idea or screenshot on cell
  17. All of your post is correct. An alternative to the certificate of residence is letter from your embassy. However not all countries provide that service. Oz being one and thinking either US or UK also do not. (Not referring to income letter)
  18. Again silly. Many guys here are married or have gf They visit Thailand. Can be from oil gas workers to snowbirds. Also guys married to Thai however still working in their own countries.. All of which would have bank account Thailand.
  19. It's not necessary. You implied that's an option. Yes it is. However not necessary. You are overlooking all the guys that work in their own countries and visit on holidays. They don't need Thai sim card
  20. Read above. Sim card is irrelevant. Perhaps not best option for folks spending lot of time outside of Thailand
