  1. Your non O is issued on day of application. That gives a 90 day stamp. Permission of stay. No need to apply for 30 day extension.
  2. My vote is that is correct. You could changed to based on retirement from Thai child in the future, however for your first extension you would need to base extension on Thai child. If this is incorrect no doubt others will fix that advice up. Not sure why you bothered with Vietnam. You could have entered visa exempt and obtained non O retirement and subsequent extension.
  3. A few folk have mentioned Maneerat and I posted a thread link specifically about agents in Pattaya. Just one person's suggestion... Don't need to shop around for lowest price. The non O and extension without you providing your own money in bank is approx 25-30k . You haven't mentioned your longer term plans. Meaning retirement in Thailand ongoing or just obtaining a stamp for next 15 months. If it's the later then just use an agent and leave your dosh in own country. Keep TM47 out of it for now.
  4. I haven't seen one. It's come up in a few threads. Some asking if they can apply while not in there own country as per this thread. Recent one where the evisa was issued after he appealed decision however by that time had entered Thailand. Here is one thread with some chit chat. Nothing definitive.
  5. Try posting accurate information. Not difficult fella. From Division 1 gov website... "The notification of staying in the Kingdom over 90 days is not the visa extension. If a foreigner staying in the kingdom over 90 days without notifying residence to immigration officer or notifying later than the set period, must notify in person and a fine of 2,000.- THB will be collected. If a foreigner who did not make the notification of staying over 90 days is arrested, he/her will be fined 5,000.- THB with an additional fine not exceeding 200.- THB for each day which passes until the law is complied with."
  6. METV you need to be in your passport country or where you have permanent residence status to apply. Since eVisa has been introduced in some countries people have been asking if it's possible to "get around" the requirement I mentioned above.
  7. Most likely a simple doc to obtain your region. The issue is for Bangkok folk where to obtain a certificate of residence from CW you need to have made a TM47 report and that's not possible on a tourist visa or visa exempt.
  8. The requirement is normal procedure and the airline was not being over the top. It's policy. BTW it did need to be a return ticket. Any onward flight would be fine. Also "rent a ticket" online from various companies such as onwardflight.com
  9. Here is link to register for online reporting. https://tm47.immigration.go.th/tm47/#/register/add. It's a very simple process. Reporting via mail is also very simple. You DO NOT post your passport. In your thread so far you have jumped from doing process yourself and also using an agent. All the steps for both options have been provided in the links to threads I have posted.
  10. 90 day report can be done online from anywhere in Thailand. Also from anywhere using mail option. In the other part of your post you mention difficult immigration office for extension. A TM30 is most often required to obtain an 30 day extension for visa exempt and tourist visa.
  11. Immigration should accept TM30 from hotel for your non O application Try and explain that you are the process of looking for rental. Read through all the threads I posted earlier.
  12. You can enter visa exempt and if you can transfer 800k from your country into your Thai bank you can then apply for non O retirement. That will give you a 90 day stamp. In the last 30 days with funds in the bank for 2 months apply for 12 month extension https://aseannow.com/topic/1282251-visa-exempt-to-non-o-retirement-dates/ In this next link my post has 3 threads links that cover the process. https://aseannow.com/topic/1292470-applying-for-non-o-visa/
  13. 25-30k baht correct for non O with 12 month extension. You require a bank account agent can open approx 4k . Plenty good agents in Pattaya. Check out Maneerat Soi post office.
  14. #25 on this list of forms. Downloadable links. https://www.immigration.go.th/en/?page_id=3202
  15. Your question about insurance has been covered above. You can purchase reentry permits at immigration anytime or at airport on day of departure. 1000b single reentry and 3800b for multiple. You won't have any reason to deal with immigration so for you obtaining at airport good fit.
  16. You should attend immigration and obtain 30 day extension to avoid overstay. 1900baht. Immigration are not interested in return ticket. Your airline at departure will/may wish to see onward flight. You can explain your intention to obtain an extension to cover the extra few days OR you could google "onwardflight.com" and purchase rent a flight.
  17. I posted above to leave without extension and return visa exempt. When return apply for non O marriage at immigration. 2000b. That will give you a 90 day stamp. In the last 30 days apply for 12 month extension. 1900b. Not difficult.
  18. Please. We are all aware that the signs at Thai immigration state "visa extension" The fact that visas cannot be extended we just accept as "lost in translation" Permission of stay can be extended. Thermology important in some situations. You are now on ignore.
  19. Depends what visa are you looking for.. Read my previous post. A ME Non O marriage does not require funds in Thai bank account. It's a visa valid for 12 months. I have posted info already. That visa is not available at Vientiane immigration.
  20. Silly idea. You would be better off applying for multiple entry Non O marriage from Savannakhet. Each entry is 90 day stamp but can obtain 60 day extension to visit wife
  21. Did you read threads... My post couple above .... Either way as has been pointed out in the thread ....with a valid visa or reentry permit you do not require onward/return flight.
  22. That will be much easier to open bank account there as compared to for example Bangkok. You still may require a certificate of residence however having Thai wife and house that should be simple. The bank account only required if you enter visa exempt and want to apply for 12 month extension. That is not clear.
