  1. I repeat....is your mother's plan to "retire" in Thailand and remain here? Simple question.
  2. It's not clear your mother's Long term plans. If she plans ongoing living in Thailand then the non O-A was perhaps not the best option. If it's for 2 years then fine. If longer, then extensions to a non O based on retirement is perhaps better option as no insurance requirements.
  3. Read @Liquorice post where he states the following..... "You are aware you can stay in Thailand for up to 2 years with the 0-A visa, before the need to visit an Immigration office to extend her permission of stay"... Yes currently she has a 12 month permission of stay. Non O-A is a multi entry visa. Every time she exits and reenters Thailand she will be stamped in for 12 months for the validity of the visa. If she exits and reenters just prior to expiry she will receive another 12 months. Her need for extension will be in a couple of years if she wants.
  4. OP, with a non O-A visa (show eVisa printout) I'm sure you with find Kasikorn will open an account. Which immigration office.

  6. Since your 90 report is approaching I would suggest doing the TM30 and TM47 on same visit as soon as the report window is open..
  7. The reentry permit desk at BKK is after security and just prior to passport left side Zone 2. At DMK the office is just other side of passport control.
  8. My first 7 years in Thailand I was out in almost every month. So never did a TM47 till covid hit. The problem with not having done a TM47 is that it makes obtaining a certificate of residence very difficult and at CW impossible.
  9. He is UK. He means visa exempt entry. 30 day stamp
  10. OP, you won't have any issues with visa exempt entry. Your travel history causes no concern.
  11. Including requiring 2 months of seasoning for non O application from from visa exempt. Which is wrong. Also at various times requiring a TM30 when it is not required. Also requiring folk to report back after obtaining extension to show funds in bank...etc etc.
  12. Off topic but here is heads up to anyone having stamps and visa info transferred to new pp..... I did this recently at CW. They have added a new requirement. If using money in bank method (retirement) they want photocopies of bankbook pages since last extension and update on the day.
  13. Sadly the great bloke has passed. R.I.P
  14. In this attached thread I posted link to thread where ubonjoe has links and advice. Read up on all those
  15. Be aware that at BKK and DMK they offer a "service fee" 200b and the provide the TM8 form and photo and fill in form. Note it's optional.
  16. Unlike you I'm trying to provide information of list of requirements at CW..
  17. That should not be required at CW. They may have just accepted it..
  18. Jomitien went nuts during peak season.. Required TM30 for any dealing with immigration. Then cut that rubbish more recently. Personally have pet detest re Jomitien immigration. Rogue office on many levels
  19. Absolute nonsense. They are enforcing laws that would apply in your country. The number of farang that arrive in Thailand and jump on motorbike of all sizes and cruise past places such as soi 9 Pattaya or beach road end of Bangla Rd and expect no consequences. They don't even have bike license from home country.
  20. What you are posting from agent is rubbish. A TM30 is not required. Law changed June 2020. You should be more concerned with how you plan to make your 90 day reports having used an agent. Most likely your stamps were issued up country.
  21. Indeed. It varies Here is post from ubonjoe I copied rather than whole thread... "Most immigration office here in the Northeast start the 30 days for under consideration on the day you current extension or permit to stay."
  22. More than useful. Read couple of times as too polished to not be some sort of advertising. Thanks for such detail
  23. Your plan is very sensible. You mention"exit permits" If you mean reentry permit be aware you can obtain that at airport on day of departure. CW can be super busy.
  24. Don't blame you. Bit late to flop out a TM87 and ask them what this Thai immigration form is for..
