  1. That's a standard message however should be short turn around. Back to the Thai bank ... Regardless if you enter with visa or visa exempt opening a bank account is not simple these days. Where do you plan to live and hence obtain non O and extension.
  2. Not in any particular order. Forget the return flight if you end up flying visa exempt. You can buy a rent a ticket for onward flight . Google "onward flight.com" cheap. I will post this and then add links to process re enter visa exempt and obtain non O marriage. Not difficult. I assume you have Thai bank account? https://aseannow.com/topic/1284614-change-visa-exempt-entry-to-non-o-spouse-visa-in-cw/
  3. So for clarity... What happened? Did you open a bank account? What is your status in Thailand. What were the requirements to open account in Chiang Rai region?
  4. Nonsense. To give accurate advice you need to know exact status of permission of stay in Thailand. Clearly you don't understand.
  5. Use one of the 3 banks that don't have small limit transfer using WISE. Suggest Bangkok or Kasikorn.
  6. Many have already corrected you. Your statement is Wrong.
  7. Didn't really understand your first post and also this post. Not being pedantic but there is no such thing as a "Retirement Visa". You possibly have a Non O-A or extensions from that or extensions from a non O . Either way as has been pointed out in the thread ....with a valid visa or reentry permit you do not require onward/return flight.
  8. So let's take it to the extreme. You fly from Europe to eg Vietnam. After all you have visa exempt entry to that country. You then apply for eVisa non O-A while you are staying in Vietnam... Subsequently fly into Thailand with a non O-A. It's a basic error that was overlooked with introduction of eVisa . Quite comical really. Some visas eg non O-A and METV had requirements to be in home country or country where you have permanent residence. Good luck with your plan.
  9. Current thread attached. Boring read but outlines procedure Jomtien. Suggest that if you do it at Jomtien best to obtain extension separately.
  10. You need to do the stamp transfer at CW. Filing a TM30 at CM will not help. Appointment system works well. Make sure you print hard copy of confirmation email and take to immigration. https://www.immigration.go.th/?page_id=20131
  11. I never understand the threads where OP is vague. Skip typing you are not UK and state your pp country. Perhaps someone from same country has recently obtained pp renewal and can update process time. I'm Oz. That info of zero interest to anyone.
  12. Have you checked current process time for your pp nationality.
  13. You are confused. Firstly crazy idea to go to Laos from Pattaya in a van. Second no such thing as a "60 day sticker" ..... You could go to Vientiane Thai consulate and obtain a 60 day tourist visa but that is overnight process and requires an appointment. What are you actually trying to obtain. If it's a border bounce for 30 day visa exempt entry you would do a run to Cambodia. There is current thread. Link here. The OP gives update half way through and is using company picking him up Saturday.
  14. As you know it's up to 30 days early at most offices and 45 days early at some You could apply slightly earlier (say couple of weeks more) with a reason such as plane ticket etc. It would be up to immigration office. Stating your immigration office always helps. If it's Samut Prakan I doubt they will cut you slack. Wait just realized you looking for extension based on marriage. You have an under consideration period. Not possible. Suggest you don't bother with next extension. Reenter Thailand visa exempt after trip to USA and obtain new non O marriage at immigration and subsequent extension.
  15. Nup. Read the post above yours. An residential address is not what is being asked for however many folk using a utility bill etc works fine. So does a passport to that country or proof of permanent residence in a certain country.
  16. Perhaps all the folk that deal with CM should show those crackpots in immigration to read change in TM30 rules in this link. Specifically point 2.2 https://aseannow.com/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=689586
  17. Yes you will be stamped in for 12 months. Yes you will need health insurance. Yes you will need to buy a reentry permit if you wish to exit and reenter in "second year" Added note. If after the second year you have plan to switch to use of non O and subsequent extensions .....then to do that you would need to kill off the non O-A by exiting Thailand and reenter visa exempt (one option) to obtain non O retirement. For that reason I suggest that single reentry permits good option.
  18. Out of interest which airline. If it was Jetstar you were lucky
  19. As stated in thread. Flying with valid visa or reentry permit onward flight not required. If flying visa exempt the airline will/may require an onward flight. Generally speaking immigration not interested both at departure and arrival.
  20. All good. Just be aware that even up country the requirements for opening bank accounts has changed in recent times. Easy to check out with visit to a bank. Common these days for certificate of residence to be required. No big deal just requires bit of planning..
