  1. He would need to have kept the 800k in bank for 2 months prior etc. But yes an option. If he had the funds in place he could do as you suggest and buy a reentry permit. Make next visit early. Guess he could even use an agent. Yes all extensions are 1900b
  2. Wouldn't call it a queue. At DMK it's an office immediately other side of passport control. Most times the office has zero people waiting. BKK might have a couple. Doesn't take long. At BKK they even provide an optional service (fee 200b) and they do the paperwork and photo.
  3. My read of the OP is that he is the tenant asking best way for himself to file a TM30. It's not uncommon that folk needing a TM30 for extension do not have fully cooperative landlord. The thread heading in part states ".... tenant to file as possessor.…." Then you state .... "I didn't have to make the trip to the Imm Office, and similar when I have non-Thai staying at my house to be in compliance with Thai regulations." Is that remotely addressing OP thread heading. The OP is not clear.
  4. Typo. Not border pass. Boarding pass from airline check in.
  5. 30 day extension not available. Only extension available is 12 month. If you were married to a Thai you could obtain 60 day extension to visit wife. Bite the bullet and do a border run reenter visa exempt 30 day stamp.
  6. That applies to obtaining border pass from airline at departure flying without a visa and plan to enter Thailand with visa waiver (visa exempt entry) . The guy you quoted had a tourist visa. The airline clerk should not have questioned his onward flight. Happens rarely but often down to clerk need to feel relevant. Nor would someone with a reentry permit be questioned by airline. On arrival it is rare that even a person entering visa exempt would need to show onward flight by Thai immigration.
  7. That's not correct. The tourist visa would give 60 day stamp upon entry. The 30 day extension will commence at end of that stamp. Usual policy is to apply for extension week or two prior to expiry of current permit. Edit: posted same time as BritTim
  8. If you live in/near Bangkok then Saigon is ripper option. You may even be eligible for visa exempt entry.
  9. Yes if picked up you don't get the option to exit on the spot. You would be arrested as per the recent publicity stunt by the police nabbing 3 or 4 overstays in .... was it Sukhumvit? Jail. Unpleasant.
  10. Exactly. Understand that English not always easy but this is OP first sentence... "Hello, I am in Thailand on a 30 day visa but i think i will have an overstay of maybe five or six days".... How can think "I will have an overstay " I asked for current expiry of 30 day stamp. No answer. For all we know he thinks he must to obtain extension in CM as that is where he is renting, however currently out of province. Who knows, all guess work. If he is currently on overstay he would know rather than state... "....think I WILL be on overstay....."
  11. What is the expiry date of your permit. Why don't you obtain the extension now. You do not need to do it at CM.
  12. OP, it varies depending on the office. Above post indicates CM is up to 14 days early. Some offices allow it earlier even shortly after arrival. BTW: Just leave out the "Visa on Arrival", there is such a thing but you (I assume) are asking about "visa exempt entry". That gives you a permit valid for 30 days.
  13. At most banks it should be possible with certificate of residence or letter from your embassy to confirm address in Thailand. Certainly would be with Kasikorn. Where did you apply and what status in Thailand? Meaning ..tourist visa, etc
  14. The daily rant about Vietnam etc is very boarding. I am very familiar with that country. As Oz citizen I cannot even enter visa exempt. The only tourist visa currently available is single entry 30 day tourist visa. Previously they had 3 month multi and that could be back to back however that is now off the table. You are done with Thailand fine. Goodbye.
  15. ME Non O marriage is excellent option for you.. Valid for 12 months and if you exit/reenter just prior to expiry you would be stamped in for another 90 days. Keep in that every entry you can obtain 60 day extension to visit wife. With your frequent travel you may not bother with that. That visa can easily be obtained from places such as Savannakhet. Few recent threads with good trip reports.
  16. TM30 ...Required. Screenshot from your hotel will do the trick. Edit: when you stated passport. You need to provide photocopies of basic pages. Photo ID page. Page with entry stamp. Last visa stamp if any .
  17. Correct answers posted above. Also you can buy a multi after having obtained a previous single reentry.
  18. What are you typing about. Those living in Thailand on extensions based on retirement using money in the bank method are well aware of the rules. Reporting back to immigration is a nonsense. For anyone that makes a slip up they would simply exit prior to next extension and "start over" Certainly not something that would be done by design. You stated ..."Some offices introduced that additional check to avoid that applicants would use up the 800K once they got the Permission to stay stamp" Say what....if they spent down the 800k they would simply be aware they cannot obtain next extension. Do you think immigration will send out the BMW,s to round them up? I am aware of few immigration offices playing this game. The main one being Jomtien which has in effect stopped that practice. Leaves couple of back water offices.
  19. No. An application for a non O from visa exempt or tourist visa requires 15 prior to expiry. In fact at CM it's 21 days. As for 30 day extension to visa exempt or tourist visa that can be done up till expiry date and as early as ...."depends on the office" Normal is couple of weeks prior however many reports of applying basically just after arrival. Meaning 30 days early.
  20. Disregard some of the post. Common is to apply for 30 day extension couple of weeks early. However often folk apply earlier. As I mentioned in earlier post .. a screenshot of hotel filing his check-in is sufficient.
  21. Point me to ONE report when this has ever occured. Actually don't waste your time. It has NEVER happened.
