  1. There is a saying "jump through hoops" Your immigration office is just making it difficult for you because they can. When they say Jump. The correct reply is "How High" If they want 12 months for the bank statements just do it.
  2. Most offices for the extension you are doing using money in bank method require 1. 3 month bank statement showing balance of 400k (minimum) seasoned for 2 months prior to date of application. 2. "Bank Letter" showing you as the owner of the account and balance on day of issue. 3. Bank Book and photocopies of previous 2 months. Note regards 1and 3 immigration may just accept the bank book and photocopies. 4. Update of bank book on day of application. I prefer to make a deposit to show activity. This also updates the account. No idea what that means.
  3. If you do border bounce you will obtain 60 day stamp. That can be extended by 30 days. You can obtain a further 60 day extension to visit wife. With 15 days + remaining on permission of stay you can apply for non O based on marriage with 400k in bank on day of application. That will give a 90 day stamp. In the last 30 days with the 400k having been in bank for 2 months you can obtain 12 month extension. Wife needs to attend for 60 day extension and application for non O and for 12 months extension and be available for home visit if required. Note: in person application for non O Savannakhet not available. As from start of 2025 they change to eVisa and appears not convenient. I have typed this information a few times now.
  4. That's incorrect. Which immigration office That's not correct. Immigration office is playing games. Are you using income method or funds in the bank Immigration will accept bank statement up to 7 days old. Seems you use Bangkok Bank. Other banks can issue 12 month bank statement on the spot. 12 month bank statement not required for money in bank method (marriage) For you FIRST 12 month extension bank statement for both marriage and retirement is not required. Just bank book or 3 month bank statement to show requirements have been met.
  5. If you had just obtained a non O that would give you 90 day stamp. For the FIRST 12 month extension the the funds need to be seasoned for 2 months. Just bank book and photocopies would be sufficient. For the next extension you would provide 12 month bank statement. Note: some offices will accept bank book showing balances for one year.
  6. Which immigration office.
  7. Same question asked in current LTR thread. Folk can reply there.Thread closed
  8. You can exit Thailand with both passports. You have run out of time as permission of stay end tomorrow. There are flights tomorrow to Vientiane. You could fly there and return via land border friendship bridge. Vans run from Nong Khai to Udon Thani Central Plaza or airport. Thread started last Wednesday and your still here
  9. You will be able to apply for eg a visa for Thailand while you are in Vietnam. Same as shortly I will apply for eVisa (tourist visa) for visit to Vietnam. I will that while in Thailand. Oz passport requires visa to enter Vietnam. However would seem that process time for applying for eVisa for Thailand in nearby may requiring spending longer time than previously required. In the OP from one of the attachments mentions 10-15 days. That would be unworkable.. If it is possible to apply while in Thailand and just exit Thailand when eVisa is approved then reenter to use the visa that would make the system workable.
  10. I agree. Just by way of example. Even as an old bloke living in Thailand on extensions retirement,..... It occurred to me me that I could construct an "online working" profile to obtain DTV Smells like scam is a scam. We all recall when ED visas were abused.
  11. Watched the video. Very switched on guy. Back to my post about UK guy with work online option, I get that. Same as guy in guy in the video. What I don't get is the "soft power" options The agents I have contacted offer full package to Loas for soft power only.
  12. Has me bemused. I have posted in other threads that chatted with switched on young UK guy in Bangkok (yes in a bar) Anyway he had just returned to Thailand with a new DTV eVisa obtained in the UK. His was category 1 online work. At least that has substance over "soft power" nonsense. The process took 3 days. He actually does fully work online for UK company. And here I am doing extensions retirement keeping 800k in bank. Ridiculous. BTW: I'm glad for him
  13. Check out thread I linked above. Some folk just want to avoid long queues as in meet and greet is fast track line. Some folk looking for "safe entry" due to eg many visa exempt entries
  14. That's correct, however can be more depending on history/issues. Here is link to thread discussing this. https://aseannow.com/topic/1345519-safe-entry-services-bkk-airport/#elControls_19430879_menu
  15. Exactly. Attached is a screenshot of typical agent that offers this service. I have cropped out name of agent. Posting for any other folk with history. Point overlooked by some is that the OP permission of stay expires Dec 17 Virtually has run out of time. No previous suggestions were acted on.
  16. Suggest you could apply for extension up to 30 days prior to expiry. Or prior to expiry exit Thailand and reenter
  17. You won't need to obtain a visa. When you obtain your last 90 day stamp prior to expiry of your ME Non O you can obtain 12 month extension. The requirements for the extension based on marriage has many threads. Here is a thread for extension based on marriage..... Some posts have included items not necessary https://aseannow.com/topic/1337120-what-are-docs-required-for-non-o-married-extension-please/
  18. Thread run its course. Thread closed
  19. Most offices will accept the bank statements showing 12 months of foreign transfers. Suggested to do the transfers on consistent date and similar amount.
  20. Agree. What's that saying : "if it sounds to good to be true......." I have been suggesting in various threads that anyone currently living in Thailand on extensions based on retirement/marriage to hold on for the time being
  21. Initially Thai immigration wanted the embassies to do "income verification" UK, USA, AU instantly said No Way Hose. Thai then dropped the verification. Response: Nup. FWIW: I had a chat with an Oz lady working at the embassy. I asked about this and (according to her) Oz embassy was basically providing a statuary deceleration. Think USA use word affidavit. Anyway she stated those can only to used for purposes inside Australia. So the story went.
  22. That question has come up previously. Unfortunately the common answer is the usual: "up to your immigration office" I'm in the camp that believes it should be possible to forward plan and when have 12 + monthly transfers apply for non O and subsequent 12 month extension using income method.
  23. Only those that can provide "income letter" from their embassies
  24. No the allows stay of 6 months. You then either apply for extension or exit and reenter Thailand. Sounds to good to be true. Hopefully no surprises in the future. Thinking folk with DTV will just mini break to somewhere nice (eg Saigon) rather than deal with immigration
