A visa helps but even that is no guarantee Also 2 overstays and yes have read the reasons in previous threads of yours. They are not a big concern. It's more collective time spent in Thailand along with time between visits. Don't recall a refused entry at CNX even with extensive history

Topic covered a zillion times. Reports almost every day of someone that states they were NOT asked for onward flight at departure by Airline..... Also reports of being asked for onward flight. Some routes (esp with low cost airlines) almost always required. So to your question answer "up to them"

OP, one added note to above post. Be aware that while many immigration offices allow you to apply couple of weeks prior to expiry date of current permission of stay, some reports that Jomtien have asked some folk to wait till closer to expiry (few days)

Don't quite follow what you mean by "airline agents". In you example book flight directly with airline. Obtaining boarding pass at check in the airline should not ask for an onward flight if you have a Visa or reentry permit. In any event if there is any issue step away from check in and either book a rent a ticket with company such as "onward ticket.com" (15usd) Or buy a throw away ticket eg Bangkok to Saigon (2000b)

Perfectly normal. Also TM30 has nothing to do with border bounce. Perfectly normal for immigration to require a TM30.. BTW you didn't have a VOA you have a 30 day visa exempt stamp. Some basic copies of your passport pages along with 1900b and TM30 often required for your 30 day extension

Exit without reentry permit (which you do not have) and reenter visa exempt. As for your border bounce from Pattaya to Cambodia, this guy @Pattaya57 had recent positive experience with minivan company. Can advise. Don't overlook Jomtien specific rules for obtaining non O from visa exempt entry. So to be 100% clear. You are not on extensions from the non O-A you actually have a VALID non O-A. If you do you could consider a border run and reenter prior to non O-A expiry. You would be stamped in for 12 months. Yes would require one year insurance however worth a consideration especially given Jomitien are requiring 2 months 800k prior to application for non O

The way that is written implies that you have a valid Non O-A. You need to clarify that. You need to exit and reenter AFTER it has expired. From visa exempt entry, yes you can obtain a non O retirement and subsequent extension. However Jomitien is a rogue office and currently requiring funds in bank for 2 months prior to application for the non O. In reality it's only required on day of application.

Go to your immigration office and ask if they can do it early. You need some sort of reason. Example sick relative etc.

Which immigration office? Few you can apply 45 days early, most are up to 30 days. You can approach immigration and plead case with flight ticket and a good story for urgent travel. You could chat with an agent to see how early they could arrange early extension. You could just exit Thailand and when return start over. This is not so bad. You could return visa exempt and obtain new non O at your immigration office

OP, assume you are planning on obtaining a 12 month extension to your non O retirement. You are aware that you can apply for this visa in Thailand and the option that @Pattaya57 outlined above is very sensible option. Can even be done from a visa exempt entry. Many threads on that. Do you have a Thai bank account in your name only.

Well to state your experience is an outliner is an understatement. Even folks entering to Thailand visa exempt are rarely ask to show onward flight by immigration on arrival. Flying visa exempt the airline at departure often asks for onward flight. With a visa in passport almost NEVER. Same as with reentry permit. Your information is poor...in any event seems you were not refuse boarding pass at departure or refused entry on arrival to Thailand. I'm not wrong at all.

Fast tract at BKK does not equate to io going easy on continuous stay (with short time out) There are agents do "meet and greet" at fast tract to assist. Suggest a visa is best option.

Immigration does prefer based on retirement as less paperwork. A non O is based on something. Marriage and Retirement two examples.
