advise needed. visarun. got rejected on airport
DrJack54 replied to popel's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Yes. Obtain a non O next visit. -
Not saying it's correct attitude from the immigration officer however think your issue is that you have a good option since you are 60+ Have you ever had a non O? Everyone refers to "retirement visa" In actual fact is a non O with annual extensions and the requirement is age 50+. Retirement is not required. Work in Thailand prohibited.

safest bet for border crossing ??
DrJack54 replied to popel's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
"chiang mai per air" I hope you pick the first option on the poll. I have never read a thread where someone was refused entry at Thai airport and immediately tried another airport. Go for it. Two hour direct flight 3400b -

You mention starting a poll. Also that you really need to collect stuff from Pattaya. Also best entry to Thailand . From Da Nang. You have painted yourself in very poor spot. You could have done a simple land border bounce from Pattaya to Cambodia About 3.5k minivan. If you really must get your stuff from Pattaya then fly your gf to Da Nang. Still better meet her in Saigon. After that fly home to Europe Being over 50 you have far better options for future visits to Thailand -
Several reports of Jomitien requiring a TM30 for all extensions. For 30 day extension along with 12 month extension. Also your few threads from you regarding 30 day extension only available on one day prior to expiry does not backed up with other reports. Where 30 day extension has been obtained earlier that that. Go and try extension week or 2 early and report back outcome.

So current situation suits you. Your travel profile is atypical. Even oil/gas on roster month on month off are being questioned re ongoing visa exempt entries. -

The point is that Thailand for some unknown reason does not have rules in regards to visa exempt via air. Yes max 2 visa exempt via land per calendar year is a rule. Very simple clear rule. Why not have a similar rule for visa exempt entries via AIR. It's not rocket science. All of these posts re "get the correct visa" are nonsense and off topic. The OP is currently in poor situation looking for suggestions.- 240 replies

Seems to me they just wanted a TM30 and also many immigration offices want hand drawn map or Google location of where you live. This is normal.

No. I've actually done it 4 times. All in my gf name. The very first one, the guy at land office wanted my pp and I had to sign paper that I could not claim and interest in the property in the future. The most recent one from the UK guy, nothing was asked of the gf about origin of funds. For each purchase I used WISE and guess I would have just shown that if property had gone into my name. The UK guy had issue with DEE money or his Thai bank (can't recall) He needed to show contract and transfer.

OP, your immediate problem will be being admitted to Vietnam. What is passport country. Not aware of country that only gets 15 days. Previously yes but rules changed Aug last year. Thinking you have couple of options. Have the gf take mini holiday to Saigon and bring all your stuff, after which you fly home and have bit of a break from Thailand. Otherwise do entry to Thailand via land which would be horrible from Saigon but should work. -
Correct.

So you have a valid non O-A visa? 90 day reporting has nothing to do with TM30. Why bother with TM30. At this stage you are not doing extensions Assume you are aware that if you do an exit and reenter just prior to expiry of the non O-A you will be stamped in for 12 months (requires insurance)

Jomitien is one of the immigration offices I was referring to. If not inconvenient suggest you take a TM30 with you. It's not necessary however Jomtien do their own thing
