You apply for extension where you are living. Immigration would require a TM30. Your situation is little different. Thinking best for you to deal with current permission of stay ending Dec 17. That entry will provide a 60 day stamp. Putting the extension to visit wife aside, you can obtain a 30 day extension to the visa exempt entry. That gives you 3 months to arrange things. At some point you can apply for a Non O marriage. Your issue is wife working a long way from you. For non O your wife needs to be present. Likewise for home visit

Accepted by immigration for what? The OP has not mentioned what he needs proof of address for. For example to obtain TDL, COR, TM30 etc etc

What are you needing for immigration. TM30? An agent may be able to assist.

Suggest you at least do a comparison test with bank to bank vs WISE. Back to thread...... OP, have you tried to use your TM47 receipt. That's all I required to obtain certificate of residence at CW

Out of interest how are you transferring funds to Thailand. I use WISE for transfers from Oz to Kasikorn account in Thailand.

Suggest you consider obtaining a non O retirement eVisa in UK after current extension expires. To apply for non O retirement in Thailand from a visa exempt entry you need to show the 800k came from abroad. In your case the funds would have been in Thailand for quite some time so immigration will waive that requirement. However you have ample time in UK to obtain the eVisa

Nothing strange there. The io was assisting you. That is an anomaly. Happened to me once at my annual extension. The io started to do 90. Report . I stopped him as I had mail report in 🚂

You have had a bad time with extension based on marriage At 74 I'm surprised you rule out extensions retirement using agent. I'm bit behind you age wise however will certainly use agent in latter years. Currently I'm using extensions based on retirement funds in bank method. Have you considered extensions done by yourself based on retirement using income method. Don't understand you state cannot change to extension based on retirement. That must be a financial constraint. Use an agent.

Not everyone uses/needs 12 month bank statements. Previously at CW using money in bank method and I used my bank book and photocopies of pages. The io was looking at the 2 months prior to previous extension. She wasn't happy I had zero transactions in those two months. This was 2023 In the end had to resolve it with head io desk boss officer L32. For my most recent extension (Nov 5 ) I provided 12 month bank statement and also bank books. The io wanted both.

Is the DTV a sticker in your passport? The DTV is a special class of visa. Thinking information re the DTV will be noted in the new pp. Not the visa itself. Your fall back option is to travel with both passports. Even when current pp is cancelled upon renewal and valid visa in old pp remains valid..

Good option. Keep in mind that will give you 60 day stamp. If timing for the Non O application is again an issue you could obtain 60 day extension to visit wife. Issue for you is for that extension wife needs to be with you at immigration.

You attend immigration with both passports. There is no cost. Which immigration office BTW: Doesn't your permission of stay end Dec 17. Talk about leave it till last minute
