  1. MANY folk that have killed off their non O-A by exiting Thailand and reenter Thailand visa exempt to obtain non O retirement and subsequent extensions would disagree with your non O-A suggestion.
  2. Indeed. The issue for CW (I realize only one immigration office) is that to issue a certificate of residence they require a 90 day report to have been made. Impossible for visa exempt or tourist visa entry.
  3. He has 2 options. Obtain the non O visa in USA then open bank account after he arrives in Thailand. Or.. Better option is to open Thai bank account after entering on a tourist visa or visa exempt entry using agent. Cost is ~ 4k baht. Non O retirement and subsequent extensions is better option than non O-A for living ongoing in Thailand.
  4. The fact that @Lotz started thread on Monday and has not replied or visited since does not inspire confidence. In any event OP, your son will need to obtain the non O outside of Thailand and then apply for subsequent extension.
  5. OP, familiar with TM30. Of course owner needs your pp. We have few joints. In one there is a farang. The agent that did the lease would file a TM30. The tenant would need that for immigration.
  6. Clearly a joke as I don't understand one word of this post. Is your OP a joke also? Your question: "can you obtain a non O based on marriage from a tourist visa". Answer YES. Added info you can obtain a 30 day extension to tourist visa entry. You can also obtain 60 day extension to visit Thai husband. As already outlined.
  7. Dont follow any of your posts. The link I posted earlier and just checked again is working fine. I first selected type of extension. I then went to first available date. On purpose I just scrolled to bottom for book. Already knew I would be directed back to unfilled fields. Namely time...etc. Works perfectly. Thread about nothing imo.
  8. The link to new rules for TM30 (in June 2020 is outlined in first post of thread. The point is some immigration offices are not following the rule. Seems CM is one such office. Oddly the post I refer to involves CM.. Specifically read 2.2
  9. A male foreigner married to Thai woman needs 400k or monthly income. A foreigner chick married to Thai man does no require funds.
  10. With the tag Amy , I did look at profile. Wasn't clear. Being female (if memory serves me correctly) does not have same financial requirements as a male does.
  11. Some advice and a link in this attached thread. https://aseannow.com/topic/964727-rental-contract-form/
  12. Steps outlined above. Just to add....you may need more time to organize things. If required you can obtain a 60 day extension to visit wife. Some posts in this thread also outlines the requirements.
  13. Funny. Clearly you missed my post early doors I posted..... "Make sure you look at every page to make sure it was io error." Guess what the OP read my post and found his stamp. ????
  14. Seems to contradict the information in threads. The one I posted earlier and others such as this Read posts from uj and litebeer. Both mods. https://aseannow.com/topic/1238930-non-o-or-dependent-for-wife/
  15. Dont understand why the TM30 was required. Did they ask for it or you just gave it. TM6 some folk might not have as was suspended for arrival by air.
  16. I wrote.. " ....that can easily be falsely stated." By "stated" I meant "provided" Poor choice of word. Provided in same way as folk flying visa exempt use "rent a flight" to satisfy airline.
  17. Not sure about that. Yes indeed someone can change from eg tourist visa to non O retirement. Not sure if someone can change to non O as a dependent. Here is thread discussing non Thai wife options to piggyback on husbands retirement visa. Ubonjoe replies seem to indicate that the wife would need to obtain non O outside of Thailand.
  18. +1 Think common mistake is example farang guy enters and obtains a non O retirement with his non Thai wife who enters on tourist visa. The plan that she piggyback on husbands visa/extension as dependent. The issue is she needs to apply for non O outside of Thailand. Solution for the OP son is a visa run.
  19. I'm not IT chap. You can use link I posted earlier and book using cell phone Public holidays will affect availability
  20. Yes thinking same OJAS. To OP...Some good advice in this thread. Clear up cancellation or work permit etc. Don't just exit. U
  21. Thank you for very detailed report Will assist others Cheers.
  22. First up ta for my mistake. Re threads in AseanNow it's disappointing when someone starts a thread and then basically exits . Happens often. Bit weird really. So @Lorry..... Any interest in thread you started few days ago??
  23. Thanks @biervoormij Might help if I learn to read OP in detail. Egg on face. Ta for correction.
