  1. You will be able to obtain a 60 day extension given what you stated above. This is your solution. 1900b. The 60 days will be added to your current permission of stay. In this attached thread there is some advice and I posted with link to another thread with comments from ubonjoe https://aseannow.com/topic/1313692-question-about-60-day-extension-of-stay-based-on-marriage/
  2. If he enters visa exempt he would firstly obtain a non O and then subsequent 12 month extension.
  3. Have you previously used "60 day extension to visit wife" That would push back the until date and you could do the renewal extension when you are back
  4. The gf tells me the hand written Thai in blue pen means "leniency"
  5. That's correct. It's not an extension. Anyone using this would best apply just prior to expiry of your permission of stay.
  6. Care to share exactly what docs you provided.
  7. Some of the bigger immigration offices are 45 days. CW, CM and others. The vast majority are 30 days in advance. So if 30 works for you at Samui then all good.
  8. In some provinces that would not be enough. Immigration may require a "certificate of residence" for TDL renewal etc
  9. For example your permission of stay and reentry permit ran out (eg stuck o/s due to some reason) and reentered Thailand on new visa.. Then you would need to do TM30 even if your address doesn't change.
  10. If you have have unbroken permission of stay since last TM30 you do not require a new one unless you change address of where you live. Which office.
  11. Fantastic report. Thanks. OP, you mention TM30. I wonder if this was required or you just provided that and accepted by io. Also copy of every page of pp with Thai immigration stamp should not be required. No TM47 required?
  12. OP, think you have asked this previously https://aseannow.com/topic/1102143-an-idiots-guide-to-the-retirement-extension-process-at-samui-immigration-office/?do=findComment&comment=17396668 In any event Samui is up to 30 days early. Note that Samui is bit strange and you may be told to come back closer to your until date. Regards obtaining more than 30 days early this maybe possible. Helps if you have eg a flight ticket and "story" of why you need the extension early.
  13. That would be poor plan. He can obtain 7 days from immigration for 1900b
  14. Consulates often have incorrect information. This is one example. No. He most likely oil/gas worker. Only spending total 6 months in Thailand and month between visits. It's continuous stays back to back that causes issues. Well that's stating the obvious.
  15. There is ZERO ban for 2 day overstay. The post you quoted was referring to being nabbed in Thailand on overstay. Obviously you lay low on your two day overstay and make direct trip to airport on day of departure. Minimal risk.. In my earlier post, I pointed out option of applying for extension to be given 7 days to "get out of Thailand" No overstay.
  16. The post you quoted is an outliner. 9 entries in one year each only a week makes it atypical. Not relevant
  17. Not sure what visa you have. A METV provides a 60 day stamp on entry and without extension you need to exit and reenter Thailand.. Your visa has valid until date. Don't follow the exit prior to end January and may return August.
  18. Hotels do not look (in general) at permission of stay stamp. They photocopy ID page.
  19. Here is cut and paste from another thread (30 minutes ago) from @Gilmoure "I am glad I listened to some of you guys and purchased an onward ticket. I just had to use it 30 minutes ago for my Asiana Air flight from Seoul to Bangkok. Self check-in flagged me and I had to see an airline rep. Showed them my temporary ticket and no problem. 16 USD well spent me thinks. Thank you gents. "
  20. OP, you can exit Thailand paying fine and receive overstay stamp. You could go to immigration and apply for an extension (1900b) which will be rejected and you will be given 7 days to exit Thailand (it's not an extension) Most would opt to just pay a fine however the PE visa company can be touchy about overstays.
  21. Very reliable. I have never read a "failure" report regarding them. To the contrary many have reported zero issues. "onwardticket.com" is one popular site. As added peace of mind if any issues step away from check in and book cheapest throw away ticket.
  22. No. It's actually "two visa exempt entries via land/sea limited to 2 per calendar year"
  23. Which immigration office
  24. Maneerat Soi 13/2
