single-entry visa extension
DrJack54 replied to will23's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Think I have seen this previously. In any event visa exempt entry currently gives a 45 day stamp and can be extended by 30 days. After that do a border bounce and repeat. Approx 5 months. -
How do they stay 5 months without an exit and reentry

Normally the 90 day report would have nothing to do with your extension. However exception is your first extension and that starts your clock.. 1. You can do next report online. 2. Exit and reenter then your clock is reset date you reenter. 3. You did not need to do a TM30. It was not a new visa. It's an extension of stay. You reentered with reentry permit. No need for TM30 unless you changed address.

seasoning on Retirement 800K
DrJack54 replied to Scouse123's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
The change in funds in bank requirements changed think about 2019. You have had ample time to set up monthly transfers and use that method. 65k transfer per month. -
Three months holiday in Thailand .

Immigration won't be interested in your return flight however airline at departure may request to see one. Throw away ticket or "rent a ticket" is an option. -

DrJack54 replied to Scouse123's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Their country their rules. From pretty much start to finish you have pointed out that money in the bank won't work for you. Fine. Use an agent or move to Cambodia. -

Retirement v Marriage Visa
DrJack54 replied to Kevin1908's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
It's an option. In first year the agent obtains the non O and 12 month extension ongoing it's just the annual extensions. So approx 30k first year and 15k ongoing per year. No funds in Thai bank account required. -
Retirement v Marriage Visa
DrJack54 replied to Kevin1908's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Maybe I missed it. Haven't seen ME Non O marriage mentioned in thread. Many married guys obtain these from places such as Savannakhet, HCMC etc. Does not have the financial requirements of non O marriage or retirement. Gives a 3 month stay that can be extended by 60 days and the visa is valid for a year. Does require a border bounce after the 3 or 5 months. -
Read the post you quoted. The guy had a non O retirement or non O-A. Either way opening an account would not be difficult. The problem arises for those on visa exempt or tourist visa in some places such as Bangkok

TR Asean is now valid for 45 days?
DrJack54 replied to arfandy's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Not sure what your post is asking. Visa exempt entry to Thailand now provides a 45 day stamp. That will be the case until end of March next year.
