Took your advice. So little report for others.... I arrived (car) early..ish 8.30am. Wondered what all the fuss was about as parking was available. Directly opposite building 4. However when I left 11am the parking was a circus.. Chock a Block. So regards DTL. If you walk back to entrance and walk left you can obtain medical certificate 150b. Location shown on map earlier. So word of warning...don't bother with an agent. I met my agent and she explained that today was just to make the appointment. So made the appointment myself and back tomorrow to do eye test etc. Didn't feel bad about ditching her as she had other clients sitting with me.

Non o 90 day visa application

OP, which immigration office. Jomtien requires 800k in the bank 2 months prior to application. Crazy but true. -
90 days online not working?
DrJack54 replied to Lorry's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Ignore mail receipt. Follow the online report due date. -
In that case you could consider return to home country and return when you can support a non O with annual extensions based on marriage. The money only needs to be in bank for couple of months and then can be used as required. A ME non O marriage is available from Savannakhet however the cost of visa runs comes into play. Not available in Vientiane. If 50yr+ an agent assisted non O retirement with ongoing extensions is also an option.

Non o 90 day visa application
DrJack54 replied to stix40's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
You will use a TM87 form as you entered on visa exempt. Here is copy and paste from ubonjoe is old thread and explains the difference. "You can do the application with a tourist visa or or visa exempt empt entry. You must have at least 15 days remaining on your current permit to stay. The only difference between the 2 is the form you use to apply for the visa. With a visa exempt exempt entry you use a TM87 form visa application form instead of a TM86 change of visa status form. You will need 800k baht in the bank on the date you apply or proof of 65k baht income or a combination of the two totaling 800k baht. If using money in the bank you need a letter from the bank confirming the funds came from abroad." -
Thankyou for very detailed answer. I'm going tomorrow for 5 year TDL and have appointment. I'm obtaining my medical from clinic shown in pic and there is a parking lot there. The red circle shows the clinic and parking lot. The red X is entry to DLT . I could take MRT but leg but doggy currently and looks like taxi might be my best option?

What did you enter Thailand with. Tourist visa? Just do a TM86. -
Help with tourist visa required

Next time keep it simple... "Nana Hotel Soi 4" works fine. -
In that case you need to attend CW for a certificate of residence. There is not appointment possible however if your widow is open for current 90 day report you can make an appointment for 90 report and the io will process the residence certificate immediately after the Report. You can renew at 6 months expired. Think the cut off is one year.

Sometimes io at entry to Thailand airports ask that question. Can also ask about accomodation by way of asking your travel plans. Proof would not be required. I often suggest to folk to have clear prepared answer to plans for visit. Less is best. Itinerary (fabricated) is good plan. Especially with visa exempt entry and recent history in Thailand.

For your flight to Thailand the airline at departure may ask to see onward flight within 30 days. That's an easy get around with rent a flight ticket such as "onwardticket.com" It's recommended that you have 20k baht or equivalent currency however that is almost never checked by immigration at arrival. You do not need to show proof of accomodation on arrival. For the 30 day extension you will need a TM30 from your hotel. Which immigration office would you be dealing with. -
Suggest you have careful read of the OP. I realize that the OP was not changing from "based on marriage" to "based on retirement" however in that situation the wife needs to attend. In regards for attendance of child at immigration for extension, this thread has first reply from ubonjoe indicating that it depends on immigration office. For change of basis of extension it's possible that some office would require presence of child. The OP did not provide rental agreement or mention TM30. Rather referred to some court agreement for address. Irrelevant. The rest was added salad dressing..

That email simply means that your report has landed. In "Check Progress" it will say "Pending" -
Immigration Visits On Weekends?
DrJack54 replied to HappyExpat57's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Agree. Also bit of a joke as I was under impression that home visit was to see the married couple even to the point of sitting on bed together. Ridiculous. -

6 weeks. Do yourself a favor. Enter visa exempt (if your pp allows) and obtain 30 day extension. Allows 60 day stay. 1900b
