  1. You would be given 30 day visa exempt stamp. The to use tourist visa you would need to exit Thailand and reenter. This has been discussed in several threads if by having an eVisa that would be possible. Possible loophole but what's the point. As I posted earlier enter Thailand with tourist visa. Obtain extension if you want. Do border bounce to obtain visa exempt emtry
  2. So just be clear. You do not have tourist visa in pp. You do not have an eVisa. Your plan is to enter Thailand visa exempt and subsequently apply for an eVisa?
  3. Don't agree. Two years back I attended CW for my extension (retirement) the io noticed that my 90 report window was open and started to file report. I asked him to stop as I prefer to do it myself.
  4. Not visa related. Check out "marriage divorce family " forum.
  5. 2000baht. 90 day reports have nothing to do with extensions despite what some offices practice.
  6. No. You would need to exit Thailand and reenter with the tourist visa. Is this an eVisa? Suggest best to enter Thailand with the tourist visa and then obtain visa entry with a border bounce. You stated that ..., "THis used to be common practice but I don't know if it is done anymore.." When was it common practice. Is your tourist visa in passport or eVisa email? How long do you wish to visit Thailand?
  7. Yes I realize old thread. Hopefully someone can advise. So going to Chatuchak next week to obtain the 5 yr TDL. Currently have a 2 yr license. I did the online e learning and got certificate Q code and all that but that was some time ago. States valid for 6 months. Is this really required. My agent says not necessary
  8. Your plan 1. is good option. You do not need to show a flight for your 30 day extension. Immigration will/may ask to see a TM30 which you can ask your hotel to supply screenshot.
  9. OP, do you have this stamp in pp. Here is pic of my reentry. Notice also where it's issued. In this example Bangkok
  10. Thread about nothing. Answer : Yes you can use fast track and walk airside to reentry desk zone 2. End of.
  11. Your lawyer would have also advised that passing intestate in Australia would be very foolish.
  12. OP, You do not require any Will in Thailand. There is no defacto rules in Thailand. You should already have made a will in Oz for any assets. Bit foolish if have not. You stated..."all your money in Thailand" ? If you are referring to 800k for retirement extensions why not use income method or use an agent. Thereby having minimal funds in Thailand. 4 year relationship and you begrudge any tip. BTW : This is not visa related. Better forum in " marriage and divorce" Perhaps mod may move thread
  13. Don't think it's available . @BritTim post that visa was previously available in Penang. Do not think that is currently available.
  14. What are you extending. Visa exempt entry, tourist visa etc or Current annual extension from a non O marriage or retirement. etc?. If annual extension then most offices up to 30 days prior to expiry and some offices 45 days
  15. First up Excellent post. Regards the ME Non O based on Thai family.... Was that ever available? I realize ME Non O based on marriage is available and even that not everywhere. Savannakhet being the go to for most expats living in Thailand.
  16. He had been back in Oz for months so I would have suggested to him visa exempt entry no problem. The one issue is that he had obtained one of the notorious "volunteer visas" from agent in Pattaya. That may have been an excuse for the io to try extortion. If I had read his account on AseanNow, I would have dismissed it as fake. The concern is that I know the guy very well and it's true. Even more surprised that he was able to hand over 15k baht and get a visa exempt stamp. Occured at BKK airport on a Sunday evening..
  17. You need to check with the agent. Jomtien immigration might cancel it if was issued there. If they will then have the reentry permit cancelled and just fly out.
  18. Correct Brazil receive 90 days. Agree with your point of why obtain reentry permit. Just another visa exempt entry possible.
  19. Need to be particular with terms. Seems you had an agent obtain a non O based on retirement along with 12 month extension and in addition obtained a multi reentry permit. Where were the stamps issued. At Jomtien immigration or up country. You do not have a "one year retirement visa"
  20. In that case it's a multi entry non O-A or ME non O retirement. Where did you obtain the visa
  21. You have an extension from a non O retirement? Just exit Thailand without reentry permit. Nothing to cancel
  22. Some good advice from ubonjoe in this thread. https://aseannow.com/topic/1204362-changing-jobs/
  23. So buy a PE visa if you are so wealthy. Actually not huge money.
  24. A friend of mine paid 15k baht at shakedown few months ago visa exempt entry Oz to BKK. He had volunteer visa in pp perhaps was good excuse for io.
  25. Seems you have clear understanding of your options. Not sure what advice you are after. From your OP here is a snip... "I can soon afford to move back to Thailand and want to connect with my children." Implies limited funds. Rules out PE Visa. You also mention long way from 50yr of age. Also difficulties with children family assisting. Square peg round hole.
