  1. The io will not be interested with onward flight. The airline at departure may wish to see onward flight.
  2. OK for me 2 weeks ago. You could reset your password. That option is at bottom of sign in page.
  3. Correct regarding reentry permit obtained at airport. Quick and easy. You seem well aware of the various options. Just one person's opinion ...I would obtain a reentry permit and make some decisions after return.
  4. Your best plan is to repeat what you have done in the past. Without a Thai bank account you cannot obtain a non O retirement inside Thailand after you arrive. Also you would need to transfer 800k baht into that account.
  5. As always you never address your incorrect posts when pointed out. There is a list of requirements to obtain an extension based on retirement. Some offices are more straightforward that others. I'm personally doing one in October. Already getting some paperwork together. Such as lease etc. That of course is apart from obtaining such things as bank letter etc etc. Fortunately at CW I am able to make an appointment. Even with a 10.30am appointment I will arrive 1+ hour early. The banking will take 30+ minutes. For the appointment you need to be 15 minutes early. After the appointment you then need to wait. Could be up to an hour. Might be wrong but think Jomtien makes you return next day. To post a throw away line that it takes 15 minutes is simplistic in the extreme.
  6. This thread is about extensions based on retirement. Cannot ever recall that being done in 15 minutes.
  7. Not what the OP is asking. He can withdraw down to 400k three months after application for extension and back up to 800k two months prior to his next extension.
  8. You have 3 options. Use and agent to assist opening account. Obtain residence certificate from immigration (not possible in Bangkok) Obtain equivalent from your embassy (if they supply letter).
  9. How long do you actually want to stay in Thailand. Also a non O will require a Thai bank account. Do you have one?
  10. It's always open and if unattended immigration staff will round someone up. At DMK the office is just past immigration. You can see the office from passport control. At BKK the office past security and before immigration. Zone 2. Reentry permit is quick process at both airports. Personally I like to have the TM8 form all filled in with photo, fee etc all done prior to trip to airport.
  11. OP, you will also need letter from bank verifying your ownership and balance of 800k+ on day of application. Immigration would also require a TM30 or lease. Someone that deals with Jomtien will confirm what they require. Also be aware that you require 15 days+ remaining on your permission of stay when you apply.
  12. OP, why even think about a tourist visa. With visa exempt going to 45 days from Oct 1 you can border bounce for 45 days and obtain 30 day extension if required. The non O retirement. That requires 800k in bank on the day you apply. Do you have a Thai bank account in your name only?
  13. You overlooked part of my statement "living in Thailand ongoing" A non Ed gives you a year. Tourist visas and visa exempt perhaps another year ... I'm typing about 8 years not a couple. You seem aware of few options so work out what's best for you.
  14. Easy for people to say Elite visa is your best option as it's not cheap, however at 42ish it's about your only option if wanting to stay ongoing in Thailand.
  15. That's an issue. Obviously no children? Are you working?
  16. The permission of stay would end once divorced. In reality if you or wife does not notify immigration then nothing would happen. If on good terms with current wife you could ask her to attend immigration at your next extension and switch to extention based on retirement. A tip would be in order. Naturally only possible if you are 50+
  17. If he misses a month many immigration offices will not accept the application. Some mistakingly think it can be average of 40k+ per month. With his current extension running till Jan 2023 he could place 400k in his account 2 months prior to application for extension. ie money in bank method. Even then he has not met the income method for previous year. Think he would be advised best visit immigration now and discuss options
  18. This is your best option for convenience. The 400k would need to be in the bank for two months prior to application for extension. The bank letter is a simple process and cost 100baht. That is not a problem as your non O marriage gives you 90 day stamp. You need to have bank account in your name only. After you receive the final stamp you can use the money as you wish.
  19. You stated this earlier.... "3. Using the tourist Visa option to keep coming back and get married to a Thai woman. (easiest way but rather inconvenient)"...... you make sound like getting married is a trip to the 7/11.
  20. One 30 day extension per entry. After that you would need to exit Thailand and reenter if you wish to stay longer. That exit and reentry can be a simple border bounce for a visa exempt entry. Will give you 45 day stamp from Oct 1.
  21. Your example is very different to OP. When was your most recent visit to Thailand.
