  1. Guess what..when I take my Thai gf to Australia with her tourist visa immigration has ZERO interest where she is.
  2. Don't understand remotely what that means. The onward flight may be required by airline at check in. Yes one option would be to step away from check in and book cheapest onward flight available. Obviously you need internet and ability to pay online for ticket.
  3. This thread is CW Specific but outlines the process. Advice to state immigration office. https://aseannow.com/topic/1291070-visa-exempt-to-non-o-marriage-visa-conversion-at-cw-requirements/ Edit: just noticed that you are not even married prior to entry Thailand. You will require more time than 30 day stamp.. You can obtain a 30 day extension and after marriage a 60 day extension to visit wife. To apply for non O marriage you require 15day + remaining on your permission of stay and 400k in Thai bank account in your name only on day of application.
  4. Out of interest what's the salary for a 64 year old teacher in Myanmar.
  5. It certainly is not. Also in regards to onward flight that's exactly what's required. Flight. Train/bus ticket not acceptable.
  6. Good report. Ta. My last extension retirement CW they wanted TM47 receipt. Prior to that it was never required.
  7. Perhaps off topic. Been watching Netflix documentary called WW11 in colour. Recommend that series. One episode in particular was the battle for Leningrad. Ironic bit of reverse situation with megalomaniac Mr Putin being akin to Mr Adolf. This time Russia being the invader
  8. Make sure you do a hard copy of confirmation email. Think you may have issue booking for extension. The appointments for extensions are based on estimated process time. Stamp transfer is far less. Can't plead ignorance on such blatant error.
  9. The OP, posts have been vague from the first post. Others have typed about flights out of Thailand. OP, has not been involved. This forum is about visas etc to Thailand. There is another forum concerning travel to other countries. I incorrectly read into possibility of him traveling to Cuba and eventually to thailand.. In any event thank you for your polite (not) correction..
  10. An alternative is to purchase the cheapest ONWARD flight Does not need to be return. I just looked at Bangkok to Saigon. 1800baht. You could actually actually do a return Bangkok to example Saigon and obtain a visa exempt entry.. Make a mini holiday out of it. To reenter Thailand visa exempt you could use onwardticket.com
  11. The dragon lady at Jomtien pulls the "2 months funds in bank for non O" Has been reported previously. For the married guys it can be overcome by applying for 60 day extension "to visit wife". Inconvenient. For the unmarried guys it's very messy. One option (radical) is to do a TM30 to a "normal" office such as CW. Obviously using an agent easy option and Pattaya has several..
  12. You can do it online or mail. Avoid in person given long drive for you. BTW....I have an online report pending ATM. I had returned from Vietnam 75 days ago. My online was rejected but reason given is that I did not provide room #. So it should work for you online.
  13. Guilty. When I first got onto Thai Visa (at that time)..... And quoted ubonjoe pointing out some error (which was not an error just my ignorance) ... Ubonjoe very politely pointed out my error. That's the thing with ubonjoe..he always was polite and so so knowledgeable. I would cringe if log into AseanNow and see that Joe had quoted me .. why...because would mean he is fixing up an error I had posted. Thanks so much Ubonjoe
  14. If you Google "onward ticket" several companies to choose from.. They all work. Often suggested on AseanNow is onwardticket.com https://onwardticket.com/
  15. Condo owner is wrong. From June 2020 folk such as yourself on extensions from a non O..... DO NOT need to file a TM30 when you travel and stay out of province and then return to your usual place a residence. Nor is a TM30 required when you exit Thailand and return using a reentry permit.
  16. OP, what is your status in Thailand? For example I'm on extensions of stay and have a reentry permit. As such can stay anywhere in Thailand and exit Thailand and return with a reentry permit and there is no requirement to file a TM30. Only need to file a TM30 is if I changed my residence. Meaning my address where I live in Thailand. Note some crackpot immigration offices (CM being one example) are not following to rule change regarding TM30 made in June 2020.
  17. Not for flights into and out of Malaysia. That's an issue for Thai immigration on reentry to Thailand. For land borders yes overnight stay required, however often a "charge" can sidestep that.
  18. +1 Agree with your post. There was a post in recent times where a fool flew his visiting very elderly mother to KL and back same day for another visa exempt entry. She was held up on arrival and had a difficult time and eventually allowed visa exempt entry. Land border bounce step over and back is common. Do that via air... foolish imo.
  19. Normally 30 day extension would be issued in last couple of weeks of expiry of your stamp. Don't worry about being approved for extension. It will be issued. For Laksi immigration take a TM30 screenshot. You can make appointment. https://www.immigration.go.th/?page_id=20131
  20. He can obtain a reentry permit. Read post above yours.
  21. A reentry permit would protect his 30 day stamp (permission of stay) As has been pointed out already he can just exit and reenter visa exempt.
  22. OP, how long would you actually like to visit Thailand? You have good answers above. As for second part of your question ...dont understand that at all. Flights are booked online. Accommodation the same. Simple quick process. If you have time to do a mini holiday, my suggestion would be Saigon. Depending on your passport nationality you may be entitled to visa exempt entry to Vietnam. Very easy trip from the Airport to District 1. I did that trip in Feb and spent two weeks there. Return flight 3500baht.
