Oz Passport, Under 50yrs old
DrJack54 replied to bbi1's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Enter visa exempt after Oct 1. Obtain an extension=45+30. Do border bounce for wash and repeat= 5 months. Do another border bounce if longer stay required. Read threads re onward flight for airlines. Some easy options. -
When does current permission of stay end. I assume you are on extensions from your non O-A

How to get an extra 7 days to leave Thailand
DrJack54 replied to onebaht's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
It is not an extension. IMO unless you can absolutely guarantee when new pp is in your hands I'm thinking going on overstay better option. The 7 day get out of dodge is ok for eg flight leaving 4 days after permit expires. A gamble on when you get your pp is too vague for me. -
Yes. Folk in their droves are killing off their non O-A by exiting Thailand and reentering with visa exempt and obtaining a non O and 12 month extension. The reason being that no insurance requirements

When to extend tourist visa/visa exemption?
DrJack54 replied to jil's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Normally couple of weeks prior to expiry of permit. Can try earlier.. -
No new rules for non O and extentions from that visa. Change of rules is about insurance requirements for non O-A and extension from that visa.

Yes Ho Chi Minh provide ME non O marriage. Quick turnaround as mentioned earlier. The airport is close to district 1 where you can access Thai consulate easily. Phuket direct flight to Saigon is approx 2200baht each way. Don't quite follow the one year visa if you live in Phuket as you need exit Thailand every 3 months or every 5 if you obtain 60 day extension to visit wife. You could do a border bounce and obtain a non O at Phuket immigration and subsequent extension. You would need to check out cost of visa to Vietnam if you choose that option

Latest requirements to extend Non-OA visa
DrJack54 replied to Lim Yuan Hai's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Funds in bank account 800k+ for TWO months prior to application and maintained for 3 months after application and at other times not less than 400k. Assuming this is not your first extension the immigration officer will check your bank account back to previous extension. Will look for 800k maintained for 3 mo ths from date of last application then not below 400k and back up to 800k two months prior to day you apply for extension -
Latest requirements to extend Non-OA visa
DrJack54 replied to Lim Yuan Hai's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Which immigration office are you dealing with? That attachment you posted is incorrect, however i believe there are one or two "middle ages" immigration offices still believe that it's 3 months prior. -

Latest requirements to extend Non-OA visa
DrJack54 replied to Lim Yuan Hai's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
OP, if you are living in Thailand and your current extension is ending you could consider exit Thailand reenter visa exempt and start over with a non O based on retirement. The non O and subsequent extensions do not require insurance. -
Questions about extension based on marriage
DrJack54 replied to Captor's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Good. I have answers to some of your questions. Bumping this now so you can obtain first hand answers from those that deal with extensions based on marriage at CW. -
After Oct 1 visa exempt entry is 45 days. Entry by air or land border. Forget the tourist visa. Each entry can obtain a 30 day extension. So eg ...enter by air visa exempt 45 days. Do one border bounce reenter visa exempt 45 days. Obtain one 30 day extension to either entry. All up 120 days. More if you want. Edit: just reread your OP. You are only looking for 90 days. Two visa exempt will cover that.

How to get an extra 7 days to leave Thailand

Simply rejection stamp and given 7 days to exit. Some folk use it to avoid overstay. TBH never seen one Hopefully someone might post picture of one. -
How to get an extra 7 days to leave Thailand
DrJack54 replied to onebaht's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
As you would know overstay 500baht per day and not something you want to rack if wanting elite visa in the future. In the main I suggested overstay as I do not know what happens if you cannot leave with the get out of dodge 7 days Not sure if it's a simple overstay after the 7 days. Remember the 7 days is not an extension. Expert can advise.
