  1. Keep in mind that flying visa exempt the airline at departure may require an onward flight within 30 days of arrival to issue boarding pass. You mention 22 day trip so you most likely have return flight.
  2. Amazing so (prior to covid) i was flying in/out Thailand twice a month for long time. Not all Saigon but that certainly was the main one. EVERY time I was asked for boarding pass and arrival card and given tm6 departure section in return. The tm6 has temporarily been suspended.
  3. That's OK re the 24 hr. Do a printout of the screenshot you have.
  4. Really don't see how it's worth it. As you know it literally takes seconds to file with the auto fill option. Do it early.
  5. Should be fine. Did landlord provide you with TM30. You will need provide this to immigration
  6. Snap ...that was exact figure I had in mind. If that failed I guess the OP could maintain the money in bank requirements for the coming year in order to obtain extension retirement in the future and for next extension coming up use agent.
  7. Suggest to wife you give her some cash and she helps you with 60 day extension.
  8. IO gave you 60 day extension to visit wife. You should have paid 1900baht for that extension.
  9. At this point in time. Due to "suspension" Stay tuned for future issues when dealing with immigration on the front lines..
  10. Have always required boarding pass. Prior to covid I flew out/in Thailand twice per month. Boarding pass always asked for. Granted often not providing one is overlooked as they realize most travellers are dills. The same ones that don't have a pen. The same ones that don't fill in arrival card (prior to suspension). Rant about nothing
  11. Don't believe one word of your thread. BTW you post..... "I drove hapless moron to the hospital a few hours ago and... nothing happened" Why did you bother going to hospital? They don't have his pp.
  12. Why do people torment themselves with issues about # of pages or expiry date. Most passports are valid for 10 years. Obtain a new one if you have time on your permission of stay to allow for that. Just get a renewal of pp well prior to empty Guage, simple.
  13. I'm not aware of how pensions or super income streams work in the USA. I do know how they work in Oz. 80k USD is a VERY high income for a retiree income stream. The "rich" folk I know in Oz wouldn't dream of ongoing living in Thailand. In any event as the saying goes ..."The proof is in the pudding" Don't see this as attractive to many folk that actually qualify for it.
  14. Good question. Bumping your thread as so far no answer. I have read report where immigration asked for new rule (Sept 1) to be applied for extension applied for now. Dont follow as I assumed the new requirement would apply to extension application from Sept 1. Hopefully someone with first hand experience can clarify.
  15. How much is hospital bill? BTW ...I think the story is suss. The hospital did an operation without him providing passport? Nup..
  16. You cannot use the ticket for actual flight.
  17. Nothing to do with Thai immigration. The onward flight if often required by the airline to issue boarding pass. The use of onward flights (rent a ticket) is nothing new.
  18. Nice. BTW did you have hard copy print out or was screenshot on cell sufficient for your onward flight.
  19. I'm hoping your thread will bring a recent report from HCMC. I haven't seen one.
  20. I ended up with approval. All up under 24 hr. That now makes 2 successful online with the new system from my previous 2 reports. I'm onside....seems new system great improvement. In particular the auto fill button after filling in first couple of fields is a winner. Avoids typos.
