Nothing at all. From the OP..... "Previously I had booked a 30 day return and had to pay extra to alter the flight to 60 days" Sounds like he may have intention of just a 30 day day, then changed his mind? Couple of friends from USA, who come every year on TV.....opted for visa exempt this trip just gone as the tourist visas in February were taking some time. In any event both options work.

Expect The Unexpected - That's Thailand
DrJack54 replied to BAKABAS's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Appreciated. I for one have never read a similar post to yours so you coped a glitch. As you stated you have correct entry date so can't see an issue. @Sheryl is clued up on the TP. Might assist. -
Was it Big Oud that replaced Big Joke. Affectionate nicknames apparently.

Buy throw away ticket...it's a real onward flight. Cheapest possible. A Google on sites such as Skyscanner you will find the. ~ 1400b BKK to eg Phnom Penh. You can also look at "rent a ticket" just Google "onward flight". The other option is to roll the dice and if it's an issue then buy an on the spot throw away. Given you have a return ticket within the 60 you could explain your intention of obtaining 30 day extension.

Visa run Udon Thani to Nong Khai
DrJack54 replied to thairat's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
If he was intending on obtaining a non O retirement then why obtain a tourist visa, he could just reenter visa exempt.. I can't work out why he even applied for the extension as surely he can see if he qualified. The OP also stated..... "Really I’m a long term resident, now I need Thai health insurance?" Sounds extremely poorly informed. -
Money in bank 400k only has you covered. For the 12 month it needs to have been in the account for 2 months. You will be given an under consideration period. After you are given final stamp you can use the money as you wish. Basically means the 400k is in the bank for 3 months of each year. Sweet deal.

Visa run Udon Thani to Nong Khai
DrJack54 replied to thairat's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
How long do you plan to stay in Thailand. You are describing a border bounce but state "tourist visa" Do you plan on obtaining a 60 day tourist visa or visa exempt entry 30 days. Both options can be extended by 30 days in Thailand. -
Yep one year old. Had kitchen removed sat and Monday started concrete kitchen and granite bench top Tuesday

Covid 19 Extensions Extended Until July 25th
DrJack54 replied to ubonjoe's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I assume that your not married. If you were you could apply for extension. You could apply for an extension eg (covid extension) and upon refusal be given 7 days to exit Thailand. Most folk will suggest just pay the 1500b overstay at airport when leaving. -
Re-entry permit and TM30
DrJack54 replied to TPDH's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
You covered it well. Since you entered on new visa you are required to file a TM30. No urgency. Just make sure that you or hotel etc file a TM30 prior to attending immigration. I would leave it till you settle on an address. The requirements will vary depending on where you settle.. -

Entry/Exit strategy Thailand in 2022
DrJack54 replied to jethro69's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Of course not. " Am I correct, that you can also extend the 30 days Visa-exempt entries by 30 days". Yes 1900 baht. )" Is it still the norm that you'll get 2 Visa-exempt entries/year if using land crossings." Yes it's 2 land border entries per calendar year " I read somewhere here, you can't apply for a new Thailand Pass while still in the country" That not the case. -
Thailand Pass - Insurance

I also use Kasikorn. They do not have the 50k limit from Wise so you can transfer the 800k in one hit. BTW Kasikorn along with most banks have branch at CW lower lever. Notable bank that does not is SCB. Suggest you obtain bank letter same day (day earlier accepted) Quick process and make a small deposit at the same time. Ask teller to provide photocopy. They already know what you need at CW.

Visa for spouse of a Thai national
DrJack54 replied to James207's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
"may be asked".... My answer ...I had trouble with funds at that time. I had to see a man about a dog.. Whatever.. I can't find anything about application for a non O connected to subsequent extension. -
Four months stay as tourist
DrJack54 replied to lyskamm's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
OP, many combinations.... You could enter visa exempt and obtain a 30 day extension (simple process) 1900baht. Then do the easiest border bounce for visa exempt 30 days upon reentry and extend that by 30. Approx 4 months. -
Visa for spouse of a Thai national
DrJack54 replied to James207's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I never suggested back to back non O,s would be advisable. Example border bounce with another non O obtained at immigration. I stated that you can obtain a non O with no intention of obtaining the 12 month extension. Circumstances change. -
Re-entry permit and TM30
DrJack54 replied to TPDH's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Forget about current 90 report coming up. Not required. When you reenter in July that date of entry starts your 90 clock. So date of entry is day 1.
