  1. As the saying goes ...the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting change. Assume that you are using the new...ish online reporting link. https://tm47.immigration.go.th/tm47/#/register/add Also you can submit report 15 days prior to due date. What reasons for rejection have you been given. Begs the question that online reporting for CW has worked with zero glitch for MANY. Are you using autofill after first couple of fields.
  2. Not forever. However it's not a simple flick of switch to change from agent to doing it yourself. If using money in bank method you would need to show previous 12 months of funds in the bank. Alternatively exit Thailand and reenter to obtain new non O
  3. Have not missed it at all. IMO you were fortunate and clearly were on overstay. Part of your posts put that out as a solution to obtain extension based on support of a child, some time after divorce. It's not a viable option.
  4. I think you might be referring to the next day pick up of your approved extension.
  5. You also stated this .... "I've changed when divorced, to support of Thai child, and not on same day or even close to it." So you were able to change from extension based on marriage to based on support of Thai child some time AFTER divorce. I find that unusual as you would have been on overstay.
  6. I follow regarding change from eg based on marriage to based on retirement. That's a common change and visa vera. Not sure what many immigration offices would regard change from based on marriage to based on support of Thai child while still married.
  7. I don't often suggest to talk with immigration office to discuss best option. However thinking in your situation it might be best option. They may suggest a suitable option. You can change the reason for your extension however when divorcing it would be best to obtain "new" extension on same date as divorce granted.
  8. When folk do that ie based on marriage to based on retirement often the wife needs to be present. It's possible that they may wish to see proof of marriage at that time to ensure that your current extension is valid. Appears you had no issue at UT immigration even though divorced prior to changing reason your extension is based on. I wouldn't recommend that.
  9. It would need to be done same day. Seems you are on reasonable terms with current wife. Was any thought given to deferring divorce till after expiry of current permission of stay. As you are aware once you are divorced your extension is void. What the agent suggested of exiting Thailand as soon as divorced and reenter visa exempt and then apply for non O dependant child would also work and not silly suggestion.
  10. You have mentioned few options. You would not be obtaining a retirement visa. You would be obtaining a non O retirement that gives you a 90 day stamp. Then subsequently obtain a 12 month extension. That has financial requirements and not best option for 8 month stay unless you planned to repeat trip ongoing. The non O without 12 month extension would give 90 days and not best option also can not obtain 30 day extension. Land border entries visa exempt are limited to 2 per calendar year and no guarantee that the current 45 days will continue after March 31. Flying return to somewhere such as Saigon with plan to return visa exempt would require an onward flight. You could obtain a tourist visa at places such as Vientiane and Saigon etc however all these options imo require lot of messing about compared with a METV. Also the two cities mentioned require an appointment.. In the case of Saigon that can be weeks in advance. In addition the METV would avoid any issues at airports using visa exempt entries and any required onward flight.
  11. You are going to need to borrow the money for flight home along with the cost of the overstay. You dont have 20k and don't have money for flight. Exit at airport pay the overstay and regroup at home country.
  12. Have you even looked at requirements to open a bank account on a visa exempt exempt entry. Naive post. Read the many threads regarding this.
  13. Disregard anything pushed by TAT.
  14. Repeat. Some offices insist upon blue background. My office CW last extension accepted a black and white photo with white background. Not really relevant as the OP clearly not using CW.
  15. There is no written requirements that I'm aware of other than size. Some offices insist on blue background. Always good option to mention your immigration office.
  16. You should have obtained a METV However perhaps not enough time now. You can enter visa exempt and obtain extensions to each entry into Thailand using visa exempt and tourist visa entries. Can string that out for 8 months however not best option.
  17. Have no idea what that post means. I stated that in Bangkok you need a certificate of residence and 90 day report to open bank account. That's it.
  18. No offense to your friend however let him know that his advice is wrong. Many folk are opting to obtain non O after entry to Thailand. The option of obtaining non O in home country is certainly also an option.
  19. It's an option. The fact that MANY choose to obtain the non O in Thailand speaks volumes Also poster mentions use of agent. Most likely best option is to have agent handle it all. Onward flight is a minor issue covered in many threads.
  20. As you would be aware.....by exiting and reenter just prior to visa expiry you would be stamped in for another 60 and that can be extended by 30 days. Approx up to 9 month stay. Ripper visa option for some folk.
  21. Common mistake is to apply too early. Visa valid from date of issue.
  22. It's hit and miss and even if you were given a return report date just ignore it
  23. Go to CW for 30 day extension from a tourist visa entry. Edit: re read your post. You did NOT obtain a tourist visa. . You did a border bounce and obtained visa exempt stamp. Attend Laksi as I previously advised.
  24. If you entered Thailand Visa exempt then you attend IT Mall Laksi for 30 day extension
