You mention Vietjet that operate out of BKK. All flights are subject to delay for all airlines. Hence most replies have suggested OP plan foolish. Even more so when the first leg is domestic and followed by international. Other way round not huge concern. The OP plan seems very naive. Especially with check in baggage.

Your question has been asked many times. Carrying pp at all times is receipt for disaster. If someone is the conservative type then carry a photocopy of identity page and last permission of stay stamp. I've lived here 10 years and have never been asked for passport apart from road block when the curfew was in place when gov removed and I was on route from airport to HH. It's just a boring topic.

CW insists on mail in being done 14 days prior to due date. Not sure how they handle mail in if done up till due date.

Think you will find they will be more flexible with validity of certificate of residence than just one month. Thai Rath did a web piece stating that walk INS are now possible. Yes you need to go to transport office with or without agent. I outlined that above. The agent can obtain a "slot" for you. It's not an appointment but guarantees a spot in queue. Read the reply I had from BSR that I posted. Basically I will obtain the residence certificate myself and also medical. When I have those items in place I will contact agent and they will organize a date. Note it takes couple of weeks just to obtain residence certificate in Bangkok and you must have done 90 day reports. That would be some weeks after I have obtained residence certificate etc. It's a hand holding exercise. Worth it imo. To each their own.

Entering BKK vs DMK makes no difference. You mention first visa exempt entry expires March 20 so appears no history in Thailand immediately prior to that? Second visa exempt entry not a problem mind you 2 day stay is virtually a bounce for another exempt entry. You will require an onward flight for check in for return flight.

I paid 1800baht for car and bike license during covid restrictions as obtaining an appointment was difficult. Think that included cost of licences. In Bangkok I used BSR Bikes and found them great. It's a no brainer and even for those that have trouble with online reports the mail method works fine. With the old online method I had ongoing hit and miss issues as a result used mail. CW even returned my photocopies and blank TM47 for my next report. A trip in person to CW for report suggests travel by horse and buggy.

You need to understand that a non O-A visa is valid for one year. Every entry from a valid non O-A gives a 12 month stamp. At some point folk that had a non O-A will then obtain annual 12 month extensions from the non O-A. These extensions can be based on retirement or marriage (if married to a Thai) For extensions based on retirement you must obtain insurance every year. Hence many folk kill off the non O-A and obtain a non O as the non O retirement and subsequent extensions do not require insurance. However there is a sweetener for married guys. They can obtain extensions from a non O-A based on marriage WITHOUT the need for insurance and also much easier financials.

The 45 day stamp for visa exempt entry is due to end March 31. So indeed a tourist visa would be best. So you can obtain a 30 day extension to your tourist visa entry. Once married you can obtain a 60 day extension to visit wife. 21 days. Are you obtaining the non O in CM? You have your bases covered. Best of luck.

The visa company is wrong. You can obtain a non O based on marriage or retirement inside Thailand from a tourist visa OR visa exempt entry. When do you plan to come to Thailand?

You need to clarify what your friend actually has. If it's a VALID non O-A visa (not expired). Is he currently in Thailand? When is expiry of his non O-A? Not expiry of his current permission of stay.

Not sure why you are bothering with a tourist visa when seems that your trip is soon. Visa exempt entry until end of March provides 45 day stamp that can be extended by 30 days. As for onward flight you can look at cheapest throw away ticket or rent a ticket or rent an onward flight if you decide to enter visa exempt. Apart from getting married you require a Thai bank account in your name only to obtain a non O marriage in Thailand. Do you have that?

Street check of what. Would not be for 90 day report. You don't need to have your last TM47 receipt in your pp. Why would you even be carrying your pp in the street. Have identify page and latest entry stamp at best as screenshot in phone.
