Certificate of Residence at CW

No. Previously possible. It is possible to obtain equivalent from some (most) embassies for such things as bank account, TDL, etc. -
No ED Visa for over 50s
DrJack54 replied to FreddieMercury's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Read my post again. 30 day extension will not get you till when you turn 50. Also agent would need time to obtain non O retirement if you went for that option. -
Missed 90 day report
DrJack54 replied to CrossBones's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
2000baht. You will need to go in person. If you are still ill just defer it and go later. The fine will still be 2k -
So next time you go to CW (not your immigration office not the point) to obtain a certificate of residence and they charge you 200baht and mail it out sms in 1-2 weeks you are the righteous one that's going to dig your heels in and not pay? That will mean you are the chum leaving without obtaining a certificate of residence. Quite ridiculous really

No ED Visa for over 50s
DrJack54 replied to FreddieMercury's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
When does your current permission of stay expire. If you can obtain another border bounce visa exempt entry prior to march 31 you could use an agent to obtain non O retirement and subsequent extension when you turn 50. Does not prevent you from studying Thai only prevents you from working. -
Retirement visa docs required
DrJack54 replied to unblocktheplanet's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I wouldn't bank on that info. Regards photocopies of pp. Identify page, last extension stamp, most recent entry stamp, original non O retirement visa stamp or if new pp since then the information of that visa that is transferred to first pages of renewal pp. Reentry permit if have one.. I also include copies of all annual extension stamps (sometimes handed back) -

Here is my report from 2021.. Note will also post my experience 2022. More recently they wanted my TM47 receipt. Also my bank book pages we're almost rejected as I had some months of no transactions and they were saying that they wanted bank statements. There were no consolidated transactions. Just usual games from immigration. Been all fine prior to Nov 2022 extension. -

You need to list immigration office for accurate advice. -
You pay fine at the airport. 500baht per day. Max fine 20k Overstay recorded on pp. No further consequences depending how long the overstay.

Queue to renew "retirement visa"
DrJack54 replied to webcrawler00's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
45 days at CW. Best to make an appointment. Works a treat. Make sure to print out hard copy of your appointment. Attend L32 desk min 15 mins early as you are often seen ahead of appointment time. -
Changing to O Visa - Covid health Ins
DrJack54 replied to JWRC's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
OP your border bounce options depend on where you live. If you decide to fly you will require onward flight for return visa exempt. -
Online Immigration queue URL changed
DrJack54 replied to unblocktheplanet's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
That location is for extension from visa exempt entry. Extensions from tourist visa and non O etc done at CW. -
For my first 7 years in Thailand with non O retirement and subsequent extensions I had never done a 90 day report due to frequent international travel. Finally did my first ever after covid hit. Obviously I never provided a TM47 receipt to immigration prior to that. Also to this day have never done a TM30 or needed to provide one to CW immigration.
-
Strange. Since covid there have been so so many threads asking about requirements for extensions to tourist visa and visa exempt entries. Reports back overwhelmingly that TM30 is required for these extensions. On the other hand they are not required for annual extensions from non O retirement. I have done extensions for 10 years at CW. Same address have never moved. I have NEVER even made one TM30 and certainly never asked for one when obtaining annual extensions. As usual various immigration offices have their own rules of how they like to play the game.

Today I just returned from Saigon. To visit there I had to obtain a visa (Oz pp) also the only option was a single entry 30 day tourist visa. Thailand has a multitude of options including visa exempt, currently 45 days with simple process for 30 day extension. SETV, METV, NON O, etc etc Give me a break.

TM30 and first 90-day reporting in Bangkok
DrJack54 replied to Yumthai's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Visa exempt stamp. Can apply for 30 day extension and also 60 day extension to visit wife if married to Thai. -
You are the one posting nonsense. It's common that to apply for an extension from a tourist visa or visa exempt entry you need to provide TM30. Hotels should file a TM30 as a matter of law and can easily provide screenshot of that for folk to show immigration. It's standard.

Extension of non-O in CM
DrJack54 replied to bg53's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
If your passport expires earlier than the 365 days you will be given extension with expiry date matching your pp. So no big deal in your case as you only lose few days.
