You are mixing up visas with extensions amongst other things. Some correct posts in this thread by others have already explained that. Bottom line is if divorce occurs during an extension then the permission of stay becomes void on date of divorce. For a visa such as ME Non O marriage that visa remains valid regardless of divorce.

Please cease. Your posts are incorrect. The ME Non O based on marriage would remain valid for it's duration. It is visa valid for 12 months. As mentioned previously that is very different to an extension from a non O marriage. When divorce occurs that extension is invalid. One option for those in that situation is to change reason to based on retirement. Of course not an option for those under 50.

I can't recall the immigration office (not Jomtien) but I'm sure I have read similar recent post to your experience. As has already been stated . The funds for the non O are required on day of application. Thinking you have options as mentioned in thread. Unfortunately prob have to suck it up and play their game. Personally I would have accepted the bribe alternative if it was on offer.

Bit lost in translation. You can obtain a non O retirement in own country (in the main) So he wasn't suggesting a non O-A necessarily. Having stated that many consulates issuing non O retirement were requiring 90 day insurance.

You could obtain a 60 day extension to visit wife (if you haven't used that as yet) If it was retirement you could just obtain the non O at another province however with the house visit (marriage) etc you might be best off with the 60 day extension.

Depends how you entered Thailand. If visa exempt stamp of 45 days would be unlikely to be able to apply that early. Not really important you can still travel about and present a screenshot of TM30 for the province you are in to apply for 30 day extension

Extension to visa exempt and tourist visa is 30 days. A border bounce will give you another 45 day stamp and that can be extended by 30 days. Regards definitive dates. That depends on when you exit Thailand on your current extension and of course when you reenter The new 45 day stamp (visa exempt) starts on entry to Thailand and a 30 day extension would be added to the expiry date of that 45 day stamp.

OP, you are asking a 2 part question. When you apply for a non O based on retirement you will be given and under consideration period and pp handed straight back. You then return on stated date to receive non O retirement stamp.. Subsequently you apply for extension. At Jomtien the have you return the next day to collect your pp. Bit backward down there.

As stated above by friendlyfarang....No issue to use 2 accounts. If they are with same bank they will do one bank letter with both accounts shown.

It was a standard line that the io was using. For your entry when you plan to use agent for the non O retirement and subsequent extension you could consider obtaining a tourist visa. That would also give agent more time.

Think "not rocket science" bit harsh. As it's a change of residence thinking he best attend immigration in new province or via mail. Obviously in person more bullet proof for his next annual extension.

Boarding pass should be shown on arrival at airport to Thai immigration. Other than that it's not required. Obviously apart from baggage claim.

You need to give more detail. You mention extending your visa. Visa cannot be extended. You have a current permission of stay. What is that? A visa exempt entry or a tourist visa that granted 60 day permit or and extension from a non O or...? Why did you leave it so late. In any event you need to clarify. There is no such thing as a 7 day extension. You would make an application for some sort of extension and when rejected be given 7 days to exit Thailand. You don't need to do that. Just exit prior to your current permitted date.

Sorry. You do not know what you are talking about.. I specifically mentioned a ME No O visa valid for one year. Many folk obtain these at eg Savannakhet. They remain valid after divorce till the date of expiry. You are confused with what occurs after divorce if someone is on annual extensions from a non O based on marriage.

I'm addition a ME Non O visa valid for one year is still valid after divorce.
