90 day report falling on weekend
DrJack54 replied to ross163103's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
If you are doing your 90 report in person why wait till last minute. Note you can do it in person up to 7 days post due date. You can do it up to 15 days prior. You are aware of online and mail options. Here is online link. https://tm47.immigration.go.th/tm47/#/login -
Your history no problem flying in visa exempt. Be aware that the airline will most likely require onward flight. Regarding entry via land borders visa exempt there is a cap of 2 per calendar year and you won't have any issues even with more recent history staying in Thailand. Stick with your flight options. Koh Lepi ....assume you have been there. I wouldn't go with a free ticket.

It's an interesting one. I have done many extensions retirement using money in the bank method at CW. Never an issue just showing bankbook pages photocopies. This most recent one Nov, I had an issue. I use dedicated bank account with minimal activity. No balances are consolidated however young io had issue with zero activity in various months. No need for others to state that activity has always been required at their imm office. It never has been for me at CW. Apart from that this year even with an appointment this young io sent me back to document check. There were two girls there that were like robots with a check list. They required my most recent TM47 receipt. Never been asked for previously. The more senior imm officer made me write on paperwork that "next time I will bring bank statements" Ridiculous.

You arrive back in Thailand on 28th Oct. Why did you attend immigration on 29Oct? If you return to Thailand with reentry permit or same visa there is no need to report to immigration. The rules regarding TM30 returning from overseas and even another province changed. As for your next 90 day report I would suggest do it online 75+ days from Oct 28 (your reenter date)

You are completely missing the point. Take example simple question from random thread...... "what are the requirements for extension based on retirement using money in the Bank method" Why is my first question to that .."which immigration office are you using?" The reason is many have their own rules. Some accept Google maps for address. Some want hand drawn map. Some want bank statements. Some accept bank pages photocopies. Some ask for 3 month report back. Most do not. Some want bank letter on day of application. Some accept up to 7 days early. Stop there ....many more I can list. Note: that's for the most simple 12 month extension.

As I mentioned in previous post ...I'm not wasting my time to list each office that has its own requirements. However one off top of head to demonstrate..... To obtain a non O in Thailand the vast majority of offices require 15 day min remaining in current permission of stay to apply. However CM require 21 days. etc etc

When did Thai Elite Visa start?
DrJack54 replied to mohsen667's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Opens for me. -
That's always my plan with online system. So unreliable prior to new system. I file as soon as I receive reminder. Once due to Songkran holidays my online was still pending. I only waited couple of days and sent report via mail. Sure enough my online was accepted as soon as holidays ended. My mail in file came back later with note written (in Thai) that I had already filed.

I also just reentered Thailand from short trip out Just prior to exit I received my reminder email for online report. Ignored that as I was exiting Thailand prior to due date. Having reentered Dec 6, count my new due date from that. Will do online report 75 days from entry. Being careful to enter my new entry date. As for your immigration office... When you obtain new extension it's not normal for immigration to do a 90 day report. Yes, some do.

British Passport Renewal Timing Improved
DrJack54 replied to hotandsticky's topic in UK & Europe Topics and Events
The other area where I can't believe how streamlined things are is real estate purchase. I'm referring to transfer from Thai to Thai. So so simple. -
@Exploring Thailand your question has come up before. I think it was someone asking same in obtaining a tv eVisa from LA. Can't recall the solution. Hopefully someone will advise. I note it's a paid in full fare. I would just buy a ticket from one of the "rent a flight" companies or buy the cheapest flight out. Once you actually have the visa the onward flight will not be required by the airline at departure or by immigration on arrival. Aside: if you are visiting Thailand prior to March 31 be aware that visa exempt entry is currently 45 days with option of obtaining 30 day extension. That option also requires onward flight.

METV has a requirement that it's applied for in home country or country where you have permanent residency. With the introduction of eVisa there have been questions such as ......"can I obtain a eVisa for Thailand when I'm already in Thailand" etc. My guess is perhaps some folk have obtained an METV using eVisa while in a country such as Vietnam....., Personally I wouldn't do that.
