That fine however just because you travel and stay in a hotel that should not require you to file a TM30 when you return home just because you stayed at some random hotels elsewhere.

I realize not a sweet pill to swallow however it's 2000 baht. I agree with an earlier post.... Don't post your pp back to Buriram. That's crazy idea imo. The downside of fine is that it needs to be paid in person. Depending on when next extension is you could clean up the matter on visit for extension. Reports that the 2000baht fine does not accrue. Meaning 2k even if more than one report missed.

Correct and no other repercussions. I did look for reports of doing tm47 via mail at Burriram however not clear cut I use mail as back up option due to travel and long periods away from Bangkok. It's disappointing that mail option for report not being clear cut. Surely there must be posters dealing with Buriram that can give definitive advice. I wouldn't do a TM30 at Pattaya just to do 90 day report unless was intending to obtain next extension there.

The point is that question comes up over and over. In reality different immigration offices and officers can decide what they deem the requirements to be. It's a form with not many fields that would be done (in most cases) once per year. Hardly significant.

Unless Pattaya is where your address is recorded at, you would need to file a TM30 (change of address) in order to do a TM47 there.

First up not even close to what the OP is asking about. The OP plans to enter visa exempt and obtain an extension. If I was in that situation and was checking into a hotel with future plans to have dealings with immigration then my FIRST question would be ..... "Can you provide me with record of TM30 by way of screenshot etc?" If the reply was NO then I would not stay there. Many folk staying at places not a simple condo check in but for example wife's home, friend, gf, owner of condo, etc can do the TM30 as possessor, renter, owner etc. You are missing the fundamental point. Read the MANY threads along the lines .."the owner refuses to file TM30" The "owner lives overseas and hasn't done a TM30" etc. Few years back when there was change of head of immigration and new guy did a crackdown on TM30. Who paid the fine. In most cases it was the person dealing with the io. Even CW were fining folk 800baht if presented for extension without a TM30. All of which is off topic. The OP asked if he needed to file a TM30 next time he visits Thailand. If he had a reentry permit and was returning to his place of residence then the answer would be NO. The rules were changed June 2020. Fact is he is returning to thailand visa exempt and even though he is returning to his place of residence in Thailand he or the gf or the owner needs to file a TM30. Simple as that.

Best advice I can offer in this thread for anyone planning to obtain an extension from a visa exempt entry (AKA the OP) is to completely ignore each of your posts. Ignore time.

Immigration may very well allow you to use lease for address. Even TM47 receipt. Some offices do not look at TM30 for ongoing extensions. In my own example I have lived in Thailand for 10year up and never (ever) done a TM30 or provided one for immigration for extension purposes. (CW). Which immigration office.

The chit chat about the responsibility to ensure TM30 is made falling upon owner or renter becomes a nonsense when the reality of obtaining an extension comes into play. The OP has been advised to ensure a TM30 is filed prior to applying for extension. "Not my job Mr immigration officer" won't cut it.

Located immediately other side of immigration stamp out. Good to mention to immigration officer that you are obtaining reentry permit. He/she may even point that out. I prefer to take a pre filled out TM8 with photo attached.

Exactly. Someone will be fined. In your case wife. In OP case gf. Doubt it. He could be fined on the spot when attending immigration. Many have been fined for not having a TM30 when attending immigration for example to obtain an extension. Stick to the OP. His intention is to enter visa exempt and obtain an extension. It is HIS JOB to ensure that one is done. If not and he attends immigration for an extension then he may be sent away to obtain TM30 or possibly even fined. The popular amount being 800baht. Hopefully the OP will ensure TM30 is filed and can show immigration proof of that via eg screenshot.

It needs to be put in some sort of context. One could skip a whole year of reports and exit Thailand. Nothing would happen on exit at airport.. Certainly possible issues when return and apply for annual extension etc. That is very different to OP,s plan. The OP plans to exit 3 days past due date. Zero consequences when he returns. Point me to one report to support your concerns.

You must have a good embassy. For example Oz embassy requires an appointment and that obviously has a time lag. Be aware that not all embassies provide letter. Oz embassy being just one example of not supplying letter.

Extremely doubtful. Even with a reentry permit and returning relatively soon the 3 days would not be noticed. Also he could have done it in person up to 7 days late. However out of the country...so all good.

Yes. Given your located in Bangkok one option would be to fly to Nong Kai or Vientiane and reenter via friendship bridge. In a perfect world and rules were clear regarding entering visa exempt via air and not problematic with extensive recent history in Thailand a return flight to Saigon spending time there would be best option imo. I just returned from there. Ripper joint.

Shouldn't be a problem. I would suggest border bounce. Visa exempt still currently 45 days. You mention 2 per calendar year, which is for visa exempt entries. Visa run is to obtain a tourist visa for example. Where are you located.

Clearly you have no idea of how visas and stamps etc work. As already mentioned by others. Nothing an agent can do for the OP.

OP, on ok terms with wife? You could just remain in Thailand. No body relays your divorce info to immigration. Prior to expiry of current permission of stay you could exit Thailand and and change to another option such as ME support Thai child from somewhere such as Savannakhet.

One option would be to wait till 90 report window is available and attend immigration to do stamp and visa info transferred into new pp and do 90 report while there.
