  1. Buy a car for half the current plan and pay cash. Eyes bigger than belly comes to mind.
  2. Yes it is incorrect. Just one random example. Enter Thailand visa exempt via air. + 30 day extension. Obtain tourist visa at nearby consulate+ extension. Do two visa exempt land border entries (not Poipet) plus extension for each. Provided you then spend some time out of Thailand and apply for another tourist visa elsewhere you could stay even longer. Walk in the park
  3. Seriously you are posting incorrect information. There is no 180 day rule. That's goes way back prior to border exempt entries becoming a max 2 per calendar year some years back. Even a METV can provide a 9 month stay (with exits) . Forget the 180 myth. This thread concerns Poipet which is Rogue.
  4. So your 30 day extension to tv will end mid Feb. Perfect timing for a border bounce and visa exempt entry prior to march 31. That will give you 45 days + you can extend by 30. That achieves your stay. Your main issue is location Krabi. Suggest you look at options flight wise to somewhere such as Udon Thani with easy run to Nong Khai or best flight option from Krabi . You don't need another tourist visa for your plan
  5. Not many longer term options available unless you are 50+ or married.
  6. How much longer time frame are you hoping to spend in Thailand. Where are you located in Thailand.
  7. Obviously you are aware that currently visa exempt is 45 days. Pretty attractive compared to tourist visa. With extension 75 vs 90. I would be tempted to do the visa exempt border bounce and next a tv at consulate.
  8. In that case no problem. You can obtain tourist visa at consulates. Be aware that both Vientiane and Saigon consulates now require an appointment and may be backed up so check that first. Think Savannakhet is still walk in option.
  9. How many tourist visas have you obtained from consulates in nearby countries
  10. Yes that's true. Not all consulates require 800k equivalent some examples UK, AU etc. Regardless after entering Thailand with the non O you would receive a 90 day stamp. You would then need to place 800k in a Thai bank account in your name only and have in the bank for 2 months in order to obtain a 12 month extension. Obviously if someone has no intention of obtaining an extension then no Thai bank account would be required. As vague as the OP is he seems to looking to obtain a 12 month extension..
  11. Does anyone have a link to online modules for 5 year license test.. As I understand it you can do the test (or part of the test) online prior to attending for actual DTL renewal.
  12. Would seem only an issue for unvaccinated folk. Not so long ago we had a vaccination records with us. I see the minimum to 2 shots as previously and appears not to reference and time period from when those shots were received? Bit awkward for anyone (unvaccinated) with flights over coming days.
  13. I refer to CM as 'Frank' after Sinatra as in "MY WAY" Just typical immigration rubbish in Thailand.
  14. Here is thread currently running describes all the ins and outs. https://aseannow.com/topic/1281678-multiple-non-o-marriage-visa-in-savannakhet-december-2022-report/
  15. I do believe that CM has that 2 month requirement which is wrong but doesn't help. In reality for non O application the 800k or 400k only needs to be in the bank on day of application. Hate rogue immigration offices.
  16. Shock rightly so. I realize that it's not easy or convenient but you could use money in the bank method for the non O and subsequent extension along with maintaining the 65k transfers for the next 12 months then change to income method for the next extension. Not much of a suggestion but all that comes to mind. Edit: just noticed that you are married. You could have changed your extentions from non O-A to based on marriage and not required insurance. Bit late not. You could do non O based on marriage. Only 400k in bank required.
  17. It's not an extension but an annual requirement. Not a 90 report but similar. OP Maneerat is highly recommend by many. Several good agents in Pattaya/Jomtien.
  18. So you applied for a non O retirement at CM and had bank records of previous 12 month of monthly transfers of 65k and it was rejected.
  19. You can only obtain a non O-A in your passport country or country where you are a legal resident You can apply for a non O based on retirement in Thailand however that requires 65k monthly deposits for 12 months. You could alternatively use money in bank method. Does your embassy provide "income letter"
  20. Depending on your own preferences, the ME non O marriage visa valid for one year from places such as Savannakhet is another long term option for some.
  21. Excellent. However that will skip along. Since you have the funds in bank that's good. Can't recall if you after non O marriage or retirement. Obviously few extra docs for marriage. Normally for retirement you need to show funds came from abroad however in your case that should be not required. So you have time but certainly get onto the non O.
  22. As stated earlier. You don't have a visa. You entered visa exempt. You need to now obtain a non O based on retirement or marriage. To do that you require 15 days remaining on your current permit. Sounds like that's very soon. That non O will give you a 90 day permission of stay. After funds have been in the bank for 2 months you can apply for 12 month extension.
  23. That's a pain. Good that you point out the option to use Vietnam based agent to provide the "letter of approval" for visa on arrival. Prior to covid being Oz I required visa for Vietnam and used one of those agents for 3 month multiple. Often. Sadly for some reason Vietnam has taken the 3 month option off the table.
  24. You are quoting from "common misunderstanding Thailand visas and extensions 101" You don't even have a valid visa. You have an extension of a permission of stay based on retirement.
  25. By ......"You can obtain a non O retirement ". Refers to a non O 90 day visa based on retirement. Just omitting couple of unnecessary words. You then post picture of extension stamp. I will stop there as you are not familiar with the fundamentals of visa types and extensions.
