  1. Throw away line. Please show posts of refused entry with the ~ 180 day nonsense. That's not even valid rule. Some folk get questioned at airports particularly with visa exempt entries. Some folk even foolish enough to do that with almost zero turn around time. I take note of refused entries via air and have seen zero recently. Yes some have been questioned which in the main were same questions on the currently suspended arrival card. I am aware of the few refused entries at BKK and DMK in 2019 which was bit of weird time at those airports. 6 months in Thailand and difficult to enter? You are just parroting some extraneous posts. In any event all off topic. The thread is about Poipet. For anyone wondering why never to use that border crossing just Google. "Issues at Poipet AseanNow" And read the horror stories in threads.
  2. Seriously!! Your post is so inaccurate I don't know where to start. Best bin it.
  3. And how many previous months of transfers did you need for extension. Did you provide income letter from your embassy?
  4. Lease is an option You state "many immigration offices" Which office do you deal with that lease was the only option.
  5. Just put any date few weeks after when you plan to apply.
  6. Currently arrival card at airports is suspended. As for your friends experience of being fined after a visit was paid to the address written on arrival card, I find that amazing. Never heard of that ever. For most tourists that address means maybe first nights stay or just a nonsense address such as Nana Hotel soi 4
  7. Up to you. I would enter visa exempt and obtain the non O marriage in Thailand.
  8. Added tip for next year. My most recent extension CW last November at doc check (I had appointment) they insisted on my TM47 report receipt. That had never occured previously. Seemed uninterested in my lease. Also I did not provide a TM30. Perhaps take your 90 report receipt for your next extension.
  9. The onward flight will not be asked for on arrival Bangkok by immigration. The whole onward flight thing is really airline at departure to fly to thailand. Seems more often required by low cost airlines and even moreso for short flights from countries in SEA into Thailand.
  10. Yes it would need to be within 45 (normally 30) If it's a rent a ticket or throw away ticket or one you plan to cancel the return date is just to satisfy airline.
  11. Indeed YOU have never done that. Plenty have. It's called a TM30.
  12. On ignore. Many folk change province when on extensions. In most offices a TM30 would be sufficient.
  13. A return flight to the countries you mention flying visa exempt would almost certainly require an onward flight for the airline on return leg. Proof of funds is very rarely required (almost never) however 20k baht not huge bucks. Depending on your passport country you may be able to enter Vietnam visa exempt. Just an added option.
  14. All he would require is a new TM30 (change of address) if he has new address at the time to apply for extension.
  15. What does a lease have to do with anything.
  16. If re reentered Thailand with reentry permit OR on same visa that he had previously then no need to do a TM30.
  17. As Jingthing correctly points out you do not need to be in Thailand for any length of time, however in order to renew your extension you would need to be in Thailand at the time prior to expiry. Your plan with both extensions to a non O retirement OR using tourist visas and visa exempt entries for about 6+ scattered months in Thailand and balance of time in other countries will work fine. If money is no issue and keeping funds in Thai bank account all year not a problem then the extension to non O with reentry permit allows you easy access to Thailand throughout the year. With the reentry permit you have zero issues with airlines. FWIW, I would like the luxury of having a 12 month permit and be able to nick off to anywhere anytime. Like your plan.
  18. You only require 2 jabs and no reference to how long ago. So you are all good. I'm going to Vietnam shortly and will have hard copies of vaccination records for airline. As for onward flight you can use companies such as onwardflight with confidence. Cost approx $15 USD. Many reports of no issues. You can also buy throw away ticket approx cost 1600 baht. As I mentioned in that thread you can try and obtain boarding pass without onward flight and if issue step away and book onward flight. Sometimes the airline allows you to sign a waiver. You have a return flight (even though it's outside 45 days) think airline will/may issue boarding pass.
  19. No. If she decides on need for extension then she would need a TM30. Otherwise skip it do nothing.
  20. Which immigration office. It should be 2 months.
  21. Correct me if I'm wrong. Aren't you the chap that tried to cross into Cambodia from Pattaya border run and advised at that crossing to go to another border crossing then retried at same crossing week later with overstay. Then subsequently asked about getting belongings out of Thailand?
  22. BTW 2019 was the notorious time when BKK and DMK went a bit out of control and some folk we're refused entry.
  23. Here is a thread. One post asks about US marriage certificate. Ubonjoe posts a reply. Thread obviously contains other information. https://aseannow.com/topic/1130123-re-60-day-extension-to-visit-your-wife/ Note: be aware that Thailand has just amended it's requirements for flight to Thailand and showing vax records to airline will be required. Also if you are flying visa exempt you should read threads discussing "onward flight"
