  1. Have hardly read a report. Prior to Jan 25, CW started with a "need to show outbound flight". Would be useful if anyone trying to obtain a covid extension (anywhere) could post a report. Success or otherwise.
  2. Land borders are still closed. The "travel back to your country" is an invention coined by some folk as indeed you have done in your post.....as you stated.. "The Covid extension was created for one purpose only. That was for making it possible for people who could not get a flight home to be able to stay and ride the storm out". That's your interpretation.
  3. IMO immigration offices are out of line. As you point out those that entered on visa exempt or tourist visa (not STV) are still able to obtain covid extensions. I have had pm messages from guys that entered as outlined above and have been refused covid extension based on "you have been here too long" One guy was refused at his local imm office the again in another province and finally used an agent. 12k. He entered Thailand on tourist visa. Another (married couple USA) dealing with Hua Hin were refused due to no letter from their embassy. 5,500b overcame that issue. It's a turkey shoot.
  4. It's same thing. BTW ....they are free but most immigration offices charge a "handling fee" At Mueang Thong Thani it's 200baht and posted EMS. Takes up to 2 weeks. Most likely one. The 500b you paid at Korat is same deal. Another way is to charge for on the spot issued vs mail out in few weeks. At a cost. You cannot use pink card, lease or whatever as proof of address. In Bangkok you require a residence certificate or letter from embassy 100% to obtain TDL. Agent cannot get around that.
  5. Yep your posts re standard 30 day extension is first cab off the rank are correct. May as well start the guessing game early re covid extensions post March 25. IMO it's about land borders opened or still closed. Wonder what others think.
  6. @Bkk Brian my laugh emoji is not directed at you. Couldn't help myself reading that statement.
  7. You will need to do a TM30. You have changed address from Pattaya and now live in Bangkok. So the first step is to make a TM30. As I mentioned previously you would need to make a 90 report and apply for RC. That can be done at the same time. However if you only really want to open bank account in Bangkok then that may be possible without the RC. Some banks (eg Kasikorn) would most likely do one since you have a non O and annual extension. A lease would help if you have one. Bangkok Bank require RC or letter from your embassy (if they provide one) Oz embassy as one example, do not. Since you have an account with Bangkok Bank you could try them first.
  8. Yes think I was bit trigger happy. In fact I'm thinking of using an agent to assist with process of bringing my son (adult) from Oz to Thailand for a visit. He could do with some assistance obtaining TP and the hotel booking etc. I wonder how many folk just put it the too hard basket and skip coming to Thailand.
  9. What could a visa agent do? An agent eg TVC can assist you paperwork wise for TP etc that's all. OP there is no ban on unvaccinated folk entering thailand however currently you would require quarantine period.
  10. Why would you be dealing with Bangkok immigration? If the answer is to obtain a residence certificate then you will need to do a TM30 change of address. At MTT the desk for doing 90 day report (que A) is adjacent to desk for residence certificate (que B). You could try and do a TM30 and then 90 day report and at same time as applying for residence certificate. Note: I assume the agent obtained the non O and extension without you actually having 800k in Thai bank? I'm surprised the stamps were issued in Jomtien if that's the case.
  11. You obtained visa and extension using an agent from Pattaya? Which immigration office issued your stamps. You mention MTT. Are you living in Bangkok.. Your 90 report not as straight forward as your thinking.
  12. Keep the ideas coming. I agree with your thinking that current fridge position has big negative. That piece of wall with the shelves divider attached is 700mm. The fridges I'm looking at are less than 700 wide yet still 11cf up. Another thing I find bit surprising... I have looked at all rooms of 60sm in that building for sale and rent. Almost all have small table to eat. There is enough space to have larger type of table. Perhaps 1800x800 etc. Must not be Thai style. I had more this in mind (pic). The area is big enough. Also attached typical pic of another room. Notice the tiny table. Dot get it.
  13. Think I have the location of fridge down to 2 options. One is to keep same position as in first picture. Second is to have it against the section of wall where that wall partition come shelves is presently. I will put big fridge (11cf min) so most likely not go with fridge located near TV. Still up in the air re new kitchen or spruce up the old. New kitchen 55k. Exclude hob. Kitchen make over not significant expense. BTW ...if anyone interested found an app (Nippon paint) let's you colour items in your pics. Rough example attached.
  14. You need to have done a 90 day report. What do you need the residence certificate for. If it's for eg drivers license or bank account your embassy may confirm your address with a letter that will be acceptable.
  15. You mean the covid extensions that Thai government put into place for a period and then extended that period and yet again. The ones with no rider of how many are to be issued to any given person. The most recent covid extensions issued post Jan 25 were not available to those that entered with non O however were continued to be issued to those that entered on tourist visas and visa exempt. The fact you visited Thailand and returned to UK is relevant how?. Rhetorical question.
  16. Does not seem odd to me at all. Currently land borders are closed. When some open then covid extensions will cease to be on offer.
  17. You don't need to understand why. The fact is the government did put them into gazette and then extended them. Not really important if you don't understand why that was done.
  18. End on March 25, however with land borders closed the availability of covid extensions could be extended again. I still have no idea why some immigration offices have been refusing to issue covid extension to folk that entered on tourist visa or visa exempt. Along with reported rude and aggressive style towards tourists. There is no stated limit.
  19. I have never had an issue using 2 accounts. In any event, money in bank method is simple. I suggest one account either FD or Savings and leave 800k+ all year round. In a dedicated account for immigration purposes. Bullet proof.
  20. Possibly your accounts were with different banks. My 2 accounts are with same bank and as a result I have one bank letter. My 600k FD account and 200k savings it's easy for io to quickly see that I have met the retirements. Especially as the accounts have very few entries. When folk use everyday banking accounts and use 2 accounts, that is just making easy into difficult. No wonder the immigration officers get cheesed off with some farang.
  21. I asked because there are few weird immigration offices that like to see some activity in the account during the year. That is not required at CW. BTW, I use two accounts for my extensions. An FD (600K) and a savings a/c (200k+). Same bank. In hindsight think I should have just used one account fixed or saving. I don't touch either for the year. They come out of draw once a year to obtain extension.
  22. Just leave the money in bank 800k all year round. Be that FD account or Savings. Have it as separate account from your daily banking account. Which immigration office do you use.
