Did you even read the posts. The title is misleading. It's nothing to do with taxation. The OP is concerned that even with embassy letter that immigration office can/may require 12 month of bank statements for income method for annual extensions
-
Compliance can easily be checked with looking at bankbook pages. When I discussed it with the main io at extension desks as to why they couldn't reply on the bank book the reason given was that in one month there was no activity in my account. Nonsense reason especially given that it was all fine for 10 extensions. Just typical immigration rubbish

Can confirm that some offices want to see the monthly transfers even with embassy letter..
-
What you are inquiring about is not tax related. Seems some offices have started to require 12 month bank statements. Think you will find BBL takes 7 days. Other banks on the spot. I have done all my extensions at CW and for the last 2 immigration want me to provide 12 month statement (funds in bank method retirement). Prior to that bankbook pages photocopies were sufficient

Agree.. Been stated couple of times. I would even go one step further and use a new bank book or even new account. Of course his other option is to use an agent. At 80 yrs of age seems sensible option to me. Have agent do annual extensions, 90 reports etc -

Why did OP require new TM30. He returned to same address -

Why did you go to immigration office " to stamp my passport as I did 3 years ago" ? Which immigration office. I'm going to Saigon upcoming weekend and when I return with reentry permit I will not be doing anything with immigration. TM30 etc -
You state that you read AseanNow often. Why would you not obtain 30 day extension for each visa exempt entry. 1900b. @Pattaya57 pointed this out. Extensions are very simple. You stated 6 visa exempt all via air and back to back minimal days outside of Thailand. Was this entry first time you were questioned by airport immigration? I don't buy it.
-
No. The issue for the OP is ongoing back to back visa exempt entry to live in Thailand. Even if visa exempt changes to 60 days that would not change his situation. Most likely has already used the 2 visa exempt entries at land border for this calendar year. That would mean next VE would be via air and quite possibly denied entry.. The guy needs a visa.

Advice needed post extension retirement funds

There is zero chance immigration would overlook this. In another post he stated...... " Only has one bank account, we had 800 there then dipped to under 700, right now it is at 600. We are transferring now in segments" This situation very different to many previous threads where eg someone used wrong card or whatever and the error was fixed in very short time frame. OP father has zero chance of next extension at his immigration office imo. His options already posted.. -

If you wait till next extension is due then just do a border run enter with visa exempt. You can obtain a non O at your immigration office. https://aseannow.com/topic/1311886-visa-exempt-to-retirement-extension-process-and-cost/
