  1. From your post earlier today. Positive cases up 10,654 and deaths 380. Vietnam has had worrying signs recently. Think their lockdown in Saigon and some places elsewhere is curfew 6pm. Vietnamese lockdown would be lot more strict than Thailand.
  2. What phobia. I simply asked what vaccine was being used upcountry. BTW given a choice between jabs Sinovac or AZ what would you select? Yeah .....thought as much
  3. You don't need an agent to tell you that. Every entry to Thailand starts your 90 day clock. Pretty easy to know your due date for 90 report is. As for TM30 ....I would have done nothing. TM30 is no longer required if returning to your regular address. Fact that you sent time in Bangkok is of no consequence. In any event your using agent so bit irrelevant.
  4. The OP, is already in Thailand. He is obtaining an extension. Covid 100k insurance not required.
  5. That's good. Thinking they will give you your appointment for second jab tomorrow. Ask them if it will be also AZ. My second is 12 weeks from first. I obtained at Bang Sue (bkk)
  6. Your report clock always starts from when you enter Thailand. I would have asked hotel not to file TM30. However they prob would.
  7. So what vaccine are upcountry expats likely to receive? Sinovac or AZ? Or will the plan be Sinovac followed by AZ.
  8. People considering Phuket sandbox could check out the extension of this plan to other locations. (various news sources). Seems that you can soon stay as little as 7 days on Phuket and move to several other places such as some islands etc. Note the transport controls etc seem bothersome to me.
  9. Some folk here in Thailand have been obtaining covid extensions since they were made available. The question always asked is will they continue. Not much has changed in recent times. For example land borders remain closed etc. No reason to imagine why they would not continue. Only an opinion. Plan B always a good idea.
  10. It's not excessive and best option. I'm guilty of not having a Thai Will. Your typical "I'll take care of it soon". I wonder how many 800k+ deposits have been tied up with banks post death due to no will. Not so bad if your married to Thai as eventually she would receive the funds however Will is best and worth it.
  11. Depends how long you would like to stay in Thailand. There are options. No doubt you are aware of current situation in Thailand. Unless you have strong ties here it's not best time for a visit.
  12. A METV is pretty useless at this time. It allows for 60 day stay and can apply for 30 day extension. You then need to exit Thailand and reenter. Currently that's a world of pain and expense. Not suitable at this time.
  13. How can folk exit at borders when they are closed and look like staying that way for quite some time. Also quarantine upon entry to Thailand is still required regardless of vaccination status.
  14. It's not being technical. Visas are not extended. Also cannot obtain tourist visa in Thailand. The YouTuber you mentioned has no doubt been obtaining 60 day covid extensions.
  15. The 100k covid insurance is required for your entry to Thailand. Your in Thailand that insurance is not required. Are your extensions to an original non O-A or non O?
  16. Correct, since you entered visa exempt you will attend MTT for your covid extension. I was under the impression that the 3 day thing you mention was for annual extensions. Someone will advise you about that. I would take along TM30 even though you mention it was not required for your 30 day extension.
  17. Returning to where you live then no TM30 required even after international travel.
  18. OP, you will need to make a will to cover your Thai assets, namely the 800k. Mods could move this topic to legal forums perhaps.
  19. "The domestic route IS:" Watch em bounce back with that money earner.
  20. Don't "gotta have one or the other". The Thai government does not need to provide anything. Try getting into say Australia if your not a citizen. I am and it's still hard. As far as coming to Thailand.....enter visa exempt (45 days + 30 day extension). After that obtain 60 day covid extensions. IMO they will continue to be available. Make sure you obtain full vaccination prior to travel. It's currently not a requirement but common sense.
  21. So over previous 9 days Thailand averaged approx 400k per day. So does Thailand have 4million doses in the fridge ready for the next 10 days?
  22. My point exactly. 400k for 2 months in bank (+under consideration) then you can withdraw it. Don't imagine that this would be very common need for agent. Would still like to hear from someone that has actually used agent for extension (marriage) just to explain to folk exactly what is required to supply. Clearly not the 400k. Wondering if all the other requirements are required such as photos etc etc. I'm very naive regarding agent marriage extensions. I assume home visit not required. Also wonder where the extension is obtained. For example someone living in Bangkok that requires agent assisted extension (marriage) I can't see the agent using CW.
