  1. A total misrepresentation of facts. The riots were organized and coordinated, attacking completely innocent communities. The death of those innocent children was used as a means to stoke hatred against innocent communities. https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/articles/zshjs82
  2. 24000 deportation as of last report in March, the highest number for 8 years. As for smashing the criminal gangs, I doubt you believe policies come to fruition immediately after announcement? Changes to the law certainly do not take effect until the law is passed, progress on that front is being made: https://commonslibrary.parliament.uk/research-briefings/cbp-10253/
  3. 17 year olds are not women under the applicable laws relating to rape and administering controlled substances. Having accepted he’s a violent abuser you continue to defend him.
  4. Agreed. Labour’s actual polices on immigration are sound and a significant improvement on the ineffectual performative cruelty of the previous government. It’s crass stupidity to even attempt to respond to Farage’s politicking on immigration, Farage will always move the goal posts and can do so without ever having to deliver. The Tories made this exact same mistake, it resulted in their wipe out in the general election and the loss of 674 council seats, over 3 times Labour’s loss of 184 seats. Starmer should be publicizing the effective policies Labour have in place across all issues while challenging Farage on the issues he doesn’t want to discuss.
  5. U.S. foreign policy now openly up for purchase: https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/trump-tower-syria-sanctions-meeting-b2750667.html
  6. What’s more curious is why anyone living in Thailand would struggle to understand transgender people are nothing new, not a product of the left, woke, smartphones, internet influencers or any of the other reasons dreamed up. What’s new is the rightwing fixation on the issue, more than a fixation, it’s a rightwing obsession, almost entirely focussed on male to female transgenders. I doubt very much there is anything at all healthy about that obsession.
  7. The FDA and CDC have been gutted. No amount of ‘handshakes’ will hold the food industries to any standards. A more rational approach would be not gut the regulators and fund research to determine which aspects of food production are causing harm.
  8. Or perhaps it’s a distraction. Either way, talk is cheap, handshakes are not regulation while gutting the FDA and CDC is an invite to ignore what regulations remain. Profits up at cost to public health.
  9. “Every lefty celeb wants a trans kid, it highlights their Woke credentials. Look how many have them, it's uncanny. ” Do you have a link to substantiate that remarkable claim or is it something you made up?
  10. While ignoring the elephant in the room, the processed foods industry and its products, particularly ultra processed foods. The use of additives and food dies is only one part of the problems that industry causes Where it goes, obesity, diabetes, hypertension, cancers and other diseases follow. Regardless of what the underlying causes of food related public health problems is, Kennedy’s ’handshake agreements’ are little more than feigning action that will not be monitored following the Government mass layoffs and funding cuts to the FDA and CDC. On the Upside, this is a Kennedy initiative that isn’t actually putting people at risk, in that sense it’s a useful distraction for him. https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC9778909/#:~:text=Processed foods are generally recognized,by 30% [8]. https://www.reuters.com/business/healthcare-pharmaceuticals/trump-administration-begins-mass-layoffs-health-agencies-sources-say-2025-04-01/
  11. Another attack on the source of the news selected for this thread.
  12. I regard myself a leftie and I’ve made numerous comments this thread. Here’s a challenge for you, please identify with direct full quotations anything you believe I’ve said that constitutes condemnation by me of British Special Forces and/or NATO?
  13. So now you call into question the mental health of a veteran giving his eyewitness testimony and go further by suggestion links to a terrorist organization. Are there no depths to the depravity of your arguments?
  14. I didn’t say there was, nor did I say there will not be. Lets see the range of reactions if there is.
  15. Read my post again and see if you can spot the ‘if’.
  16. I have a feeling if these allegations lead to prosecutions and trials you’ll be objecting to the those too. But if you are indeed arguing allegations made that have not been tested in court are nothing to be concerned about, then that really would be a change of outlook worth noting.
  17. The BBC are reporting the allegations. The allegations are being made by UK Special Forces veterans who were eyewitnesses to the events. I understand Asseannow selects news stories from reputable sources and that those selected news sources shall not be impugned by members in the discussion of the topics the reports address.
  18. I need to update this observation. Not so much ‘crickets’ as the very people who engage in outrage over an equivalence being drawn between the actions of a State Military and those of a Terrorist Organization are no longer silent. They now themselves engaging in that very same equivalence. How the wind blows?!
  19. The false moral equivalency was introduced by Jonny. I and others called it out. You’re objecting to ot having been called out
  20. The people who have come forward to give testimony are themselves combat veterans.
  21. Is there absolutely no topic in which you aren’t triggered to go completely off topic to play politics with child rape gangs?
