There you go truncating my posts to remove context. Even then you couldn’t demonstrate any point.

Why Nigel Farage Could Really Be Prime Minister by 2029
Chomper Higgot replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Why does it matter why they left, so long as they left? Something Labour has achieved at levels not seen for 8 years. -
So the security zone wasn’t enough afterall. It does however beg a few questions. A foreign power takes control of a population, not just the territory but the supply of essential aid, displacing the civilian population and controlling their movements through check points while installing a permanent military presence. Perhaps ask yourself if this were your country being placed under foreign military occupation, how would you, or perhaps more importantly other members of your country respond? History gives us plenty of examples, very often armed resistance is the inevitable outcome. Interestingly, ‘occupation’ brings with it very specific duties under international law. More on those as they inevitably arise.

Like I said, politicking. People and Parties who failed to act on the recommendations of the inquiry into rape gangs and attempted to block the Labour Government’s Bill to provide increased protection for children, now politicking. And Jonny, do not assume my opinions on anything I have not myself made a statement on.

Why Nigel Farage Could Really Be Prime Minister by 2029

The Prime Minister today (Monday 31 March) announced the government has returned more than 24,000 individuals with no right to be in the UK since the General Election – the highest returns rate for eight years. Either someone is getting the job done or somebody else was not. https://www.gov.uk/government/news/prime-minister-announces-massive-surge-in-immigration-enforcement-as-returns-reach-24000-since-the-election -
You can of course think what you like, however the law is clear. Central Government, not local authorities, give consent on matters of national infrastructure “The primary legislation which applies to NSIPs is called the Planning Act 2008. When these types of development meet the threshold described in the Planning Act they need a Development Consent Order (DCO) before they can be built. As this type of development is nationally important, consent for a project needs to be given by the government rather than the local planning authority.” Interestingly, when the UK was a member of the EU, individual ’affected’ persons in the UK had the right under EU and UK Environmental protection laws to make direct appeal to the EU Environmental Commissioner, over the head of the UK Government on matters of Government policies/projects that impacted the environment. Jost one more of those EU membership rights Brexiteers pished away. https://www.gov.uk/guidance/nationally-significant-infrastructure-projects-and-the-people-and-organisations-involved-in-the-process

Good luck telling landowners who decide they want to install solar energy farms or wind turbines in their land to generate income for their businesses that they can’t do so. Let alone the consequences of putting green energy workers on the dole in regions where well paid work for ordinary working people is hard to find.

I haven’t got a clue why you think that ‘offering’ has anything at all to do with my post which you replied to.

Jonny, are you missing me that much that you need to announce it to the whole board? ……. The truths about the rape gangs were revealed in the Tory Government inquiry that published those truths and recommended actions to be taken, non of which the Tory Government acted upon. When the Labour Government’s Bill to protect children was in its final stages the Tories, and Reform MP’s submitted and voted for an amendment that’s whole purpose was to prevent the Bill passing into law. Both parties then lied about the ‘amendment’ claiming it was calling for a second inquiry to be added to the Bill. The fact is the Bill was at its second reading, amendments are not added at second readings. So no, I’m not particularly interested in the rightwing playing politics with this issue and it is my opinion that playing politics with this issue is precisely what the rightwing are up to. I also note how often the rape gangs ate dragged into threads in which they are not the topic of discussion, often by you. So sorry I’ve not been giving you the attention you so obviously crave and no I’m not particularly interested in such obvious politicking by people who failed to act on the inquiry recommendations, then actively sought to block a law providing protections for children, then lied about and continue to lie about it.

I very clearly stated we’d test how far gone you are with the first of your queries. You responded by confirming you departure from reality. The J6 attack on the Capitol was an attempt to violently overthrow the results of the election and keep Trump in power. Pure dictator/despot behavior. I provided a link to support that statement. When you return to reality and accept those facts we’ll discuss your other points. In the meantime I’ve no appetite for swallowing your counter factual nonsense.

Let’s just take your first query and see how far you are gone: A dictator uses force and fear to keep themself, their friends, and their allies in authority. Explain The J6 attack on the Capitol was an attempt driven by Trump to overthrow the results of the election and keep himself in power. https://www.pbs.org/newshour/politics/trump-lit-that-fire-of-capitol-insurrection-jan-6-committee-report-says

You are getting ahead of yourself again Nick. A Bill currently in process has obviously not had any impact on the cost of rents. While conversely housing will be one of the major issues the newly elected Reform councillors will actually need to address. As I stated earlier, Reform will now have to deliver rather than sniping from the sidelines. One of the things they’ll need to deliver on is housing. https://www.gov.uk/understand-how-your-council-works
