  1. There are i'm sure some Richie Rick folks staying in Thailand who maybe play tax games with home country and other locations. I won't get a TIN until I'm told by someone other than an anonymous poster or a legal service on facebook. This is all fueled by lonely retired guys with no hobbies.
  2. Crazy how we've become too lazy even to make it to work.
  3. So if the cue ball is scratched, the other player is allowed to play the cue ball anywhere on the table is an international rule? Just read that the colored ball in pocket after a scratch gets put back on the table as well. Live and learn

  5. One rule playing with Thais that is foreign is - if you scratch the cue ball they are able to play the cue ball anywhere on the table. Seems strange to me.
  6. We recently purchased some land for our 13 yr old kid. We're not married but I had to sign papers because kid has my last foreigner name. Had to pay some baht (3000) to have my kid's name added to chanote.

  12. You're right, get the TIN and don't under any circumstances allow the Thai officials to deny you. I demand to pay taxes.
  13. It's nice having a pool table at home. Don't have to be around cheating brits.
  14. The taxation virus has been firmly planted in many elderly expats who have no plan B. It's a despicable thing to do in hopes of creating Tax Advisor business.
  15. It's sad when we need laws to spell out common sense.
  16. The poster who started the tax threads is now MIA. Funny how he posted a list of tax consultants on here.
  17. I was being sarcastic. Guess I failed.
  18. I recommend those bright blue headlights. Always classy.
  19. Smart is smart. I for one think TS is super intelligent and has intelligent thoughts.
  20. Since 1977, he has worked at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University, where he is the Rose and Milton Friedman Senior Fellow on Public Policy. Despite the difficult start, he went on to receive degrees in economics from Harvard University, Columbia University, and the University of Chicago. For more than thirty years now, Sowell has been applying the principles of economics to a range of intellectual disciplines, including history, politics, and education. Pretty solid credentials. Wouldn't you say?
  21. Not once thought of it. Always get to Airport early so I can belly up to the free lounge bar.
  22. 😭😭😭😭😭 You're a good man GG
  23. Thomas Sowell is an American economist, economic historian, social philosopher and political commentator. He is a senior fellow at the Hoover Institution.
