  1. I'm guessing the same dazed look would appear on your face if I asked you to define the First and Second Law of Thermodynamics.
  2. Why not? It' will just be another drop in the bucket of more than 4000 legal cases he had, from 1973 to 2016.
  3. That's rich, coming from a serial liar. I just know I am going to cry myself to sleep tonight.
  4. You mean you get the base pension. A supplement is something that is added to something else, either as a boost or to compensate for a perceived deficiency.
  5. Your post has me puzzled, because I do not get any supplements, e.g. electricity, phone, rent assistance etc. Every time I leave Australia, the supplement stops being paid after 6 weeks. When I return to Australia, it is restored in my next pension payment. That pattern has been followed for more than ten years. I can only conclude you are getting the supplement as the result of some screwup, which is not unknown in bureaucracies.
  6. I let the occasional obvious typo go. However, you have incurred my wrath for not knowing the difference between spelling and grammar. Spelling is the correct sequence of letters to form a word. Grammar is the rules for structuring phrases and sentences. I'd give you a dunce cap, but I know you already have a tinfoil hat.
  7. BDSM? No thanks. Nice looking chick, but I get the impression she has just finished feeding the ducks.
  8. IMO peer group pressure has a lot to do with getting tatts. It's sad, because getting a visible tatt announces to the world one is in a certain socio-economic class, which anyone in law enforcement zeroes in on. There's also what happens with skin ageing and body shape changes. I can remember in Chiang Mai a girl leaving the condo. Obviously a sex worker, covered in tatts, very skimpy clothes on a really lovely slim body. I was wondering why someone so beautiful would disfigure herself so badly.
  9. Photos please, unless it contravenes forum rules.
  10. She watches hers, I watch mine. We sometimes have common ground in the Thai news on TV. I would like the OP to define "normal human". To me, that's like hens' teeth, and I include myself in the not normal.
  11. You should know by now anything is possible in Thailand. Obviously, it would not come from the Chiang Rai store, would it?
  12. Had a partial denture made for me at the Ram dental clinic in Chiang Mai. Still going strong about 12 years later. A dentist in Australia said it was very well made.
  13. I've had some ordinary experiences with ordering perishable food online, don't do it anymore. Some delivery companies don't give a rats' rectum what condition chilled or frozen food is in, and Chiang Rai is a long way from Bangkok.
  14. Really. I guess America's health is in safe hands with RFK, then.
  15. IIRC Trump asked if he could pardon himself years ago.
  16. Seems to me Trump created more swamp in his first term.
  17. Are they all Democrats? I thought it was the Republicans who were the strongest supporters of the Second Amendment.
  18. No discount on Mainland at the Chiang Rai Makro.
  19. Places like the US, UK and Australia are OK for people still in the workforce, and earning good coin. People on minimum wage, not so much. Unless a pensioner in Australia owns the roof over their head, they will be shelling out 60 - 70% of their pension in rent.
  20. Have you trained your grandkids in how to avoid getting shot at school? Have you bought them Kevlar vests yet? Are they worshipping at the altar of the Second Amendment? If gun reform ever comes in America, who do you think will drive it? Democrats or Republicans? Has it occurred to you harboring this much resentment is unhealthy? And projecting it onto someone you don't know and will never meet is even more so?
  21. I was under the impression most Americans slept with a gun under their pillow, pet-eating Haitians, Commies.......
  22. I can't say who is winning, and have not attempted to. Although the fact Ukraine has had the temerity to invade Russia in the Kursk area, says something about the comparative morale of the combatants. It's claimed Russia has 1000 soldiers KIA per day. That's still a long way short of Stalingrad, where they had 19,000 KIA a day.
  23. Fact: The Russian ruble is 113 to 1 USD. It was 60 before the invasion of Ukraine. Fact: Food inflation has hit 10%. Fact. The official bank interest rate is 21% Fact: China and India refuse to pay for Russian goods in rubles. Fact: Russia has not even the most basic microchip industry. Fact: The Russian education system collapsed in the mid-eighties. " Just fine economically"? I sincerely hope you are not giving anyone financial advice.
  24. Since 1989, the WHO has alcohol listed as a Class 1 carcinogen. In old age, medications sometimes come into play to maintain quality of life. Mixing them with alcohol is pure insanity. For example, paracetamol is frequently used for pain, inflammation, and fever. Mixing it with alcohol may cause serious liver damage.
