Bungled by the Barber – A Tale of Immeasurable Trauma
Lacessit replied to SoCal1990's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
IMO the OP should retreat to a cave, far away from any suggestion of civilisation. Obviously, modern living is becoming far too stressful for him. I have known several people like him, they are what is termed accident-prone. The simplest function can turn to complete catastrophe. It's like people who manage to slash their wrists while shelling hard-boiled eggs, break a tooth on a sponge cake, or step into a puddle, only to discover it conceals an uncovered manhole. There is no help for them, they are cursed by some uncaring god. All we can offer is our sympathy, while wondering how nature made them so gormless. -
Trump wants to take over Greenland, the Panama Canal, Canada and the Gaza Strip. How's that for authoritarian bull faeces?
-
I thought Australia was an ally, although it might not be for much longer if Trump persists with his moronic tariffs.

Wrong. I am Australian, with Scots, Danish and French ancestry. You are not alone, plenty of posters on ASEAN get upset when confronted by facts,

It's true, I have this bias against liars and religious fruit cakes.

Kalasin tax office today- result!
Lacessit replied to Scouse123's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
How much can I be extorted for, with no tax liability? Wake up yourself. You must be the most miserable person on the planet, endlessly posting about things that may never happen. How do you think the tax people will find me in the village? My last TM 30 was for a condo in Chiang Mai 4 years ago. -
Yes. let's do that. Junk the fat-headed deal for $360 billion worth of obsolete nuclear submarines. Australia can start by putting reciprocal tariffs on every American product. The US has a positive balance of trade. Then we can tell you to remove all your secret bases which make us a nuclear target. What the hell, it only neuters half your surveillance capabilities in your race with China. Afterwards, nationalize all American assets in Australia. You need us more than we need you.

I ran out of highlighter for your whatifery. Not to mention dumbf***ery. I did my last extension in November. Tax ID or returns were not mentioned. My next extension will be prepared one month before the due date. Plenty of time to adjust if necessary. As usual, you do not answer my question on probability, because you don't know. Do your own thing. You'll then be on their radar, and be liable to be messed around by experts. Bet you haven't thought of that consequence of trying to be a goody two-shoes. -
Prof Ian Brightrope > mRNA vaccines hailed as the future!

It's one thing to say it's worth eating nutritious food. It's entirely another to say it prevents or cures cancer. Off to the same section with you - the sick joke sub-section. -

I can see the resident scaremonger and doomsayer has decided to join this thread. I can't be accused of tax evasion if I am transferring funds from pre-2024 savings. Tell me why I should put myself under a spotlight by going to a tax office. Tell me what crime I have committed by letting them come to me. Then estimate the probability of tax officers leaving their air-conditioned offices to come and find me. -
Scholz calls for state of emergency
Lacessit replied to GroveHillWanderer's topic in The War in Ukraine
History shows America goes into wars dragging its allies with it, then pulls out when the American public is tired of the cost, in money or bodies. The US is great at 100 metre sprints. It's no good for distance events. -

You are saying you are smarter than AI. Prove it. -

Cancer can be genetically inherited. It can also be caused by environmental factors, such as smoking, alcohol and obesity. IIRC Sir Percival Pott was the first to link cancer to an occupation, that of London chimney sweeps. The treatment of cancer has advanced in leaps and bounds. I would not be posting if it had not. -
America did a lot for Japan. It did nothing for China, you are attempting to revise history. You probably don't understand China is a hybrid economy, a mixture of capitalism and state-controlled enterprises. Hybrids have a history of being successful. Ask Tiger Woods. Over the last 20 years, Chinese GDP grew on average by 8-10% a year. US GDP grew by 2-3%. China has invested massively in infrastructure and manufacturing technologies. America is picayune in comparison. It's 2025, and the whole of America has 80 km of high speed rail? But don't let facts get in the way of your ignorant and somewhat illiterate rants.

Yes, we understand. You are smarter than AI, and the thousands of immunologists, virologists and epidemiologists who have contributed their knowledge to it. You discount the mountains of evidence for the existence of viruses. Instead, we are supposed to believe you have the answers, despite you advancing no evidence, only assertions. "What is asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence". Hitchin's Razor. Please found a town of followers in Guyana, you are wasted here. -

Too bad they can't inject vaccines that make people smarter. There are posters on ASEAN in desperate need of them. -
AFAIK there is a luxurious nursing home off the 118 on the way out of Chiang Mai, heading towards Chiang Rai. 90,000 baht/month, I understand it includes very co-operative nurses, who will hold your willy to pee when you slither out of bed at 2 am. Then tuck you back in, with a fresh tube of KY. It's run by the Swiss, say goodbye to your problems of moving your ill-gotten gains from crypto speculation. Fear not, Thailand has options for everyone.

The army did what it was told by a treasonous little turd of a PM. Don't think for a nanosecond the average Australian agrees with spending our blood and treasure on your adventurism.

That's where the agent comes in, to provide the funds temporarily. An agent is unnecessary if the foreigner has the 400/800K baht to begin with. I don't know why there is a freeze in Pattaya on agents doing Non Imm O extensions. However, IMO it does create a considerable problem for those foreigners with insufficient funds.
