  1. Not true. Labradors and poodles are both dogs. Labradors are not poodles. Poodles are not Labradors. Bye now, I am full up on dumb@sses for today.
  2. I won a scholarship to the private college I went to. Easy to see what you have on your mind, if that's not stretching the expression too far.
  3. Figure of speech. When we had a dog in Thailand, it lived quite happily on cooked chicken carcasses, rice, and table scraps. Cost very little to feed.
  4. Your super fund will be taxed at anywhere between 15% and 30% when you die, depending on the nature of contributions you have made in the past. It's why I closed my SMSF, every cent is outside the reach of the taxman.
  5. I look forward to the OP's threads, because I don't think he has reached the apogee of narcissism yet.
  6. I consider I live quite well, on less than 65K/month. OTOH, I don't drink or smoke. My only luxury is golf. I tried the income method for one year, found it to be a major PITA. Not worth the aggravation for the sake of not keeping 800 K on deposit.
  7. It's pretty obvious what the real problem is - wealth inequity, and a cockeyed tax system. In 2016 and 2017, Trump paid $750 in taxes. Someone earning $50,000 pa paid tax of $5914. The people getting the really big bucks obviously have too many loopholes. When you have 3 multi-billionaires sitting on more money than the bottom 150 million Americans, IMO the tax system is broken.
  8. Trump revising history. I would suggest he should bar Ukrainians from visiting America. They have plenty of experience with drones and sniper rifles.
  9. Oh dear, YT is projecting his lifeless minuscule willy again.
  10. I am on a part pension from Australia. I have investment assets as well, which generate income. In Australia, living costs are so high my capital in those investments erodes. In Thailand, my capital increases. I am making money in retirement. In old age, I would have to settle for eating dog food in Oz. Aged care there is a licence to print money for Singapore based corporations. Here, I live well, and have a GF 23 years younger than me, who will take care of me until I draw my last breath. It's a no-brainer.
  11. I have paid hundreds of thousands of dollars in taxes during my working life. Under the Australian system, I am eligible for an age pension provided I meet the income and assets test criteria. Who the hell are you, to tell me where I should spend it?
  12. The accusation might upset me if it came from an intelligent person. Where did the black people in America come from? Hint: It starts and ends in A
  13. IMO you need some vibranium stuck in your ear, to get your brain cells working.
  14. IMO Putin has something with which to blackmail Trump. Given the number of transgressions Trump already has on his checklist, it must be something extremely damning.
  15. I am using labels. Everyone does. Next, when I call a dog a Labrador, I'll be accused of discriminating against poodles. Take your BS somewhere else.
  16. From your own post, which you seem to have forgotten. african american noun An American whose ancestors were born in Africa. What part of the word ancestors don't you understand?
  17. Is that an opinion, or a fact? He's white, and has white parents. If you consider that statement of fact is racist, you are far too woke for me.
  18. About 15 years ago. IIRC I only had a tourist visa.
  19. Run the risk of being made a political hostage on the whim of Kim? Pass.
  20. It depends on the terms used. <deleted>, kike, spic and slope are all racist. AFAIK the terms African-American, black, Asian and white are not.
  21. I can remember turning up at a Bangkok Bank branch in Chiang Mai, armed only with my passport and 10,000 baht in cash. Took about 20 minutes of signing forms, and I was good to go. I can also remember renting a scooter without having to produce any form of driving licence.
  22. His ancestors were not born in Africa. His grandfathers emigrated from Canada and England. Joshua Haldeman was a Canadian chiropractor who promoted racism, anti-semitism, conspiracy theories, and apartheid. Fruit does not fall far from the tree.
  23. The term "African-American" is usually applied to black people. In case you have not noticed, Musk is white.
  24. Looking at this thread, I am quite surprised by the number of idiots posting I have on ignore. Americans don't realize the government is now an oligarchy.
